No it’s not. We are banished from Silvermoon after Alleria nearly blew the Well up.
Yes it is, Void Elves are Blood Elves.
No… it’s not. We were banished because we almost blew the Well up. Brush up on your lore sir.
And no, we are not. We are Void Elves now.
I totally agree blue eyes make sense in lore and we also see blood elves with blue eyes in the game as lanesh. and we also see the silvermoon scholar in telogrus who have green eyes.
Lets goooooooooo
so they dont know how to f lolllll
The only Void Elves that should have green eyes, are the ones that unlocked the green fire.
Erm, unless Im seriously wrong, green shiny eyes indicate a connection to and use of Fel.
Void elves = void, not Fel.
No! That’s the one thing you aren’t getting. GO AWAY!
Nobody cares.
Depending on how you define connection to and use of fel.
As far as we know, Fel magic works a bit like radiation in this sense; it permeates the area and seeps into anything in the vicinity. Anything near a source of fel magic shows signs of slight corruption, it just so happens that high elves and orcs manifest it in a very visual way.
- Ask CDev Round 3
We know from Blood of the Highborne story through Halduron (The Blood Elven ranger-general), that the thalassian rangers were not as devastated by the Sunwell’s destruction in terms of withdrawals, due to them not being arcane-magically inclined. So they were also not connected to or used fel (No Blood Elves except warlocks really did).
The green eyes comes as a taint, which is what I suspect you meant. It comes through the burning crystals, which the Blood Elves used to trap demonic souls to use as a form of energy, a form of nuclear power if you will, in place of the Sunwell which was used as power source before it’s destruction. Due to the demon souls in the burning crystals, however, fel permeated the lands of Quel’thalas and anyone in proximity, warlock or not, were tainted by the fel.
But I am inclined to agree otherwise.
It is likely that the heavy dosage of void that the void elves were subject to, overrid the fel taint.
Blood Elves = Arcane/Holy, not Fel, since the end of TBC.
Years later many Blood Elves still have green eyes because it is difficult to revert back much like orcs geeen skin.
Additionaly, Void Elves are literally Blood Elves. this was emphasized pretty hard by Blizzard and by the unlock questline.
There’s no reason for them to not have green eyes if they’re allowed to have blue eyes.
I cant agree, sorry. Its part of the lore that Void Elves are infused with the Void, " the shadow within them". Sure, they were Blood Elves once but any trace of Fel would have been driven out by the Void.
People may want something but unless you and others want every elven race in the game to be basically the same, you need to keep some racial identity for them. We already have Blizzard giving into the cry for hair changes (which I didnt agree with because their physical attributes were defined by the Void) and now people want Fel-coloured eyes? How much more homogenization is needed - until you cant tell any difference at all?
Why not leave them to be what they were intended to be? If you want to play elves with Fel eyes, play Blood Elves. I don’t ask that Night Elves have the option to have green eyes or void eyes because I believe they have a unique racial history and identity.
Anyone taking bets that someone spewing this much anger over an eye color actually muted the thread? Talk about selfish. ‘I don’t like it so you shouldn’t have it!” So much anger over something so insignificant.
If it’s really insignificant, it should stay a Blood Elf exclusive.
Void Elves are Blood Elves br0 free my green eyes letsgooooooo
Its odd because people are constantly saying how bad the lore writing is, and yet they want to change a racial appearance that relies on a particular look due to their nature and what makes them what they are.
I reckon we need to be able to change the eye colour of Death Knights. Give them a normal eye option because, well, their appearance which relates to their being raised as DKs isn’t as important as the choice. Yeah, that works for me.
