I would be inclined to agree with you if this were any other game. However, the Faction concept is one of the most core features of WoW from the very start. You have different quests and stories, in vanilla you didn’t have access to every classes, you don’t even have access to all of the same gear.
Blizzard has always said that WoW is first and foremost a Role Playing game. That concept comes before everything else.
I agree the que times suck but it is what it is. I’m not super against merc mode, but it does break the immersion a little bit

You’re living in a dream if you think Retails 80% horde player base aren’t going to impact Classic expansions that are free and launch during Retail content droughts.

I’m not sure, there’s a possibility that all the super horde fanboys will suddenly rediscover their long lost love of the human storylines and aesthetic, and not at all want to be human for EMFH.
According to like every horde I accuse of doing it for the racials they are playing horde because of friends or the aesthetics.
I don’t necessarily not believe them because retail is 80% horde and people stick with what feels familiar.
End game = Raids & Arena. Nither of which have a 1+ hour que.
Bgs are not end game anything.
I’ve been dealing with getting ganked every 10 minutes by horde. Im only level 64 because I’m on such a horde dominated server, every quest is full of horde that KoS all alliance. Not saying I would be 70, but easily 66 or 67 without all of the corpse running I have to do.
Deal with your queues and be happy you are even 70 right now and actually have people to do dungeons with.
