i would support faction change , paid or free , but not merc mode, as someone who pvped enough in retail i can tell you merc mode did not improve or winning at all, and i would see most merc players not even try for the most part because their heart is with the other faction.
1 hour queue times are not part of the TBC experience and is entirely a product of Classic. And as such, they should be addressed in the best way to preserve Classic.
All you have are insults and it’s sad. Blizzard didn’t build this game around just your experience, if anyone is suffering from lack of a functional mind it’s you. Your decisions have consequences. If you go in a dungeon and make a bad pull wiping your group, your actions affected other people. Just as your decision to be Horde affected you, and everyone around you that also played Horde. A game with a collective community indeed has consequences for your decisions whether you like it or not. And despite your best efforts to throw a tantrum, this very situation is absolute evidence to the fact there are indeed consequences to choices that impact you and everyone around you.
these people are ridiculous
im paraphrasing here but “1 hour queues for players is great for the game” riiiiiight
Yes, because my investment in my character only began in TBC. I have OVER TWO YEARS of investment in my character. I swear these forum hounds would be able to win more BGs if they had a few more brain cells and spent less time on the forums.
Overpowered racials for 1 faction in pve AND pvp is also great for the game riiiiiiight?
You’re right, BG queues back in the day were closer to 30 - 40 minutes.
Why is it so hard for you to have patience for a few weeks to see what happens to the player base after Retail gets a content drop and TBC players have done everything there is to do this phase?
Then why are you treating it like it is and throwing a fit like I just shot your dog? If you don’t like the product, move on and play something else. If you don’t like the queue times, roll a new character. Going after Blizzard with a pitchfork and torch sure doesn’t scream “It’s a game, it doesn’t bother me.”
They only say that because their queue times are instant or they don’t PVP. It’s all a giant grift.
abstractions and allusions. no specifics. you claim i call you names when you are pulling some maturity “me adult. you child” card. 'bout to write you off as a troll.
Actually they were around 10-20. And the reason they were is because of battlegroups. A way to rebalance faction population to offer a more consistent gameplay experience. And because the longer we wait, the worse things get. MY SERVER IS ACTIVELY DYING NOW. Waiting more weeks will lead to more people transferring or quitting. Literally standing in front of a burning building and going “Well, maybe it’ll get better in a few hours. No need to call the fire department”
Cute, so while I"m not talking to you at all in that quote when the poster I quoted is indeed throwing a tantrum, you try to twist it around to involve you and I’m the one dancing around the situation? Right…
I distinctly remember sitting 30+ minute queues as horde in TBC on Tanaris, they were much faster at launch when there were a lot more people playing.
Maybe Blizzard could have created battlegroups that pair certain servers with each other to try and better balance out the queues.
You didn’t answer my other question, what is so bad about waiting to see how the player base levels out after those events occur?
EDIT: If your server is actively dying right now it’s already too late. I know that sucks to hear, but Stalagg was my original server as alliance.
Blizzard will not do anything to fix it in time, their responses are always super delayed to these things.
It’s pretty scummy of them to even allow transfers during the first month or two of a new Phase or expansion, but they profit off of it so it continues.
I answered that in the edit. Which was edited before you posted this response.
exaggeration much? i just offered a solution for players who would like to play BGs and save some time IRL. i doubt blizzard thinks players having 1 hour queue times is good for the game.
you seem like the one who’d get bent because blizzard decides to fix a problem… which i have a feeling they will.
Literally everyone arguing that this is a good thing on the forums is this way. They all have some kind of skin in the game they want to keep, and they don’t want change. And they are ALL cowards that can’t admit it. It makes them actually look worse that they can’t just be like “Yea, I like my instant queues and gear advantage, I know that’s bad game design, but I don’t care.”
And as such I asked a question which lead to this conversation. You further asked me what my “opinion” was and yet here we are. You have on multiple occasions now shrugged off the notion that anything you suggest isn’t a hot dumpster fire. You have zero data that your idea would fix anything, let alone the entire problem. You have also gone out of your way to ignore the point that your suggestions impact others and as such others will speak out against it regardless of your feelings on the matter. You don’t have to agree with them, or me. You just have to recognize they indeed feel impacted by something you suggest and that they will speak out against it.
If Blizzard were to take your idea and help 1k players but lose 6k, you lose absolutely nothing. Blizzard is left with the dumpster fire that was created by listening to your idea. As such they are in the right for not jumping into a situation with every single “next big fix” a random player like you has to a problem. And it is a stupidly smart business move to be doing it the way they are doing it.
Bro the top 100 teams in arenas are 60% horde 40% alliance - across all 3 brackets.
The Rank 1 Priest right now is undead and wearing dungeon gear.
The time to gain an advantage through farming honor was in pre patch and the first week of launch. That ship has sailed. Anyone who had full resilience gear during the first week of arenas now has a 2 - 3 week advantage in gear moving forward - for the rest of Season 1, although the rankings seem to reflect that it’s more skill based than gear based.
The gear advantage you’re talking about seems to not be reflected in the horde to alliance ratio in the rankings.

i asked you to be specific and explicit in your opinion. you used a metaphor to express your opinion toward me.
again please explain the negative consequences. youre saying they are bad because…well they are bad
I gave you my exact thoughts on it just as you requested. And I stand by it. We had these problems 15 years ago. We had these problems in Classic, we had people warning about before Pre Patch. And yet people still rolled Horde knowing very well what they were getting into. Now, if you making a choice to do something after knowing the consequences in my opinion is a you problem. And every single person who did it is also suffering a “You” in the context of “them” problem. And as such I feel it isn’t Blizzard’s place to fix a problem the players created when everyone and their mother and dog decided to go Horde despite information this would occur.
That is my opinion, that is it. I answered your question, and that is al it was. You don’t have to agree with it, just as I don’t have to agree with you. The fact of the matter is EVERYONE is impacted by the decision of others in some way, and they will all have varying opinions whether you like them or not. That’s all there is too this .
