Graphical glitches

Hi,
After some playtime, I get big graphical glitches. See this screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/cLdcjAh

What could be the cause of this?
I’m on Windows 10
GPU: Radeon RX 580 Series (Up to date)

Thank you

Hi Galaredon

Do these glitches occur while in both DirectX 11 and DirectX 12 modes? If you haven’t - test that.

Let’s take a look at a HWMonitor report.

Download HWMonitor here:

Free download is along the left side of page - called “Setup - English”

Open it on desktop - go play for a few minutes fight some mobs then tab out. Take a screenshot of the tool. Scroll down on tool to get the rest of the outputs then take another screenshot.

Upload those to Imgur or a similar site. I use http://postimages.org/

Hi, first of all, thank you for your help. I uploaded the new pictures. See here: https://imgur.com/a/cLdcjAh

I first had the issues with DirectX11 and then did some searching, switched to DirectX 12 and the same issues happened again.

Best regards

Everything looks good on the HWMonitor. There have been a good number of AMD driver issues on the forum here as of late. Those seem to be resolved by simply switching to DX11. That isn’t the answer in this case though. Let’s run a “clean” uninstall of the AMD Graphics then reinstall the latest Adrenalin driver.

We like to use DDU (Device Driver Uninstaller) for the clean uninstall. Official download is here:

https://www.wagnardsoft.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1490

Basically you extract the uninstaller from the download. Then unplug the Ethernet or disable the Wifi to avoid Windows automatic driver installation. I like to boot the computer into safe mode then run the DDU tool. On the tool you select Graphics type then AMD. Run the recommended “Clean then restart”.

(If Nvidia graphics were installed at one time you would want to run the tool again and clean those out)

Don’t be alarmed if your screen is all wonky - you will be running on basic windows graphics drivers once the tool does it’s work.

One other thing comes to mind here. Is Windows right up to date - don’t count on automatic installation. Click on Settings then Updates and Security - run the updater.

Thank you for the suggestion. I did the following:
-Unplugged internet
-Reboot in safe mode
-Run the tool and clear all invidia drivers
-reboot in safe mode
-Run the tool and clear all ADM drivers
-reboot normal
-Installed latest Adrenalin driver
-Reboot normal
-Start WoW

The issues started happening again right after I started Wow.

I rebooted the computer again and I was good for a few hours. Then tonight, I’ve had the issues again but now the game crashed once with the error you see in the new screenshots I added. I restarted WoW 4 times in a 90 minute session to try to get rid of those bugs.

Anything else I can try?

Best regards

There is a bug that Blizzard and AMD are working on dealing with the cards Shader Cache. Let’s try disabling the Shader Cache in your Radeon Settings.

Afterward ensure the game is running DX 11.

Here is the main thread for the Shader Cache issue:
