GPU fan noise

Under normal circumstances yes.

alright ill just use the default curve it gives me then since I am not that knowledgeable haha

I’m a noise freak and play around with both if the GPU has an aggressive default fan setting

it’s pretty good

depends on how long you plan to keep the GPU but under normal use, the fans will outlive the usefulness of the card unless you set them overly aggressive

Awesome thanks for the informative replies. I am glad nothing bad happened with the loose mounting of the GPU. Been wondering about the noise for over a year now. It is now so quiet lol. I never thought about loose mounting because I thought the GPU would not work if it did not get mounted in properly haha.

Ah awesome that nothing was broke.

If it has been in there a while or you use the machine a lot moving parts are bound to vibrate loose eventually like anything else, what you did was possibly all that it needed.

Yes. good thing I finally traced it to the GPU and decided to reinstall. If I did not who knows what would have happened in the future with the loose mounting. When I first had this new PC assembled I have always wondered why there is this HDD-like clicking sound and was frustrated since I expected a new pc to be very quiet haha. Now it is.
