I was ready to go at the start time, but my connection was severed many times. Then, there were two times when I thought I was finally connecting to a realm I wanted and would create a character, but it would be some other random realm I didn’t care about, so I’d have to delete that character and start over.
After 35-40 minutes of waiting, I was able to reserve a name I wanted on the three different realms in which I’m interested. Which one will end up being my main will depend on how the server cultures shape up down the line and where my friends end up rolling.

I hope all the Selenes are happy with their beautiful name! I tried all the normal servers, you other Selenes are quick! However I got my main, Celine and I am very satisfied! I have re-created my Vanilla character who has always been my main!

All on Herod. I’m pretty happy with what I got. All of the names I regularly use in games (like this character’s name, I’m literally the only Flowermilk in the entirety of WoW lol) are never taken so I’m not too worried about getting them later.

yup… Gwyddon, Helwyr and Rhyfelwyr on Pagle. Didn’t really think anyone would take them though but I’ve had them since vanilla so I was real happy

out of 3 I really wanted got 2 + one bonus since one was a miss.

It was a good night.
2 I wanted were taken, but 3 others on my list were open. I got the most important one for my raider; others are really just optional alt names. But man, this release was a giant disaster, very disappointing from a billion dollar company. It’s as if they weren’t prepared at all, pants down and everything. It took me an hour to do what shoulda taken 5 minutes.
The Metal Gear fan in me got lucky enough in the first 30 seconds of the servers opening to get both “Bigboss” as my rogue and “Sniperwolf” as my hunter. Pretty happy with these choices. Wish I could have gotten a mage named “Gandalf” and a warrior named “Hodor”. But got 2 out of 4 hahaha.
Tried like probably everyone to get Chucknorris and Leeroy but failed miserably even during the first 10 seconds of the servers being available haha.
