WoW has been slowly turning into World of Diablo for ages
I’m actually cool with it, entirely so, I just want them to entirely lean into it and take the ancient MMO stress points out.

Blizzard asks ya to post your reasons here. Thats why. Its called FEEDBACK
Because awhile back blizz shifted diablo devs into WOW>
People like you act like its never been this way lol. Youve just matured and your brain doesnt let you be a child anymore and just enjoy the simple things. Best of luck to you and make sure to drop your gold and pets in my inbox, champ ![]()
Can relate to a degree. Starting in 2005, I was a dungeon rat, then stepped up to casual then progression raider and found that the predictability of PvE got old. So I became an officer and GL (explored the social side of grouping), then when that got tedious (because people) I started to WPvP casually, then did BG’s casually followed by RBG then arena. Then keeping a team together got old. So I went casual and did pet, mog, and mount collecting. Then once I did that I started collecting alts and when I got to 40 max level characters I took a break. Then Classic came along so I did that and now I’m back in retail. Up to you but I find that defining myself by just one activity in a huge MMO like this (“Raider”) sets one up to get burned out or to feel betrayed by some Dev decision. I prefer to stay loose and go with the flow. Anyway, hope you find what you are looking for. ![]()
Sorry it doesn’t work for you. It does work for many of us.
I sincerely hope you find a game that works for you.
You don’t know anything about this guy. Mind reading is silly. Don’t try to get in his head or tell him what’s wrong with him. It’s not just impossible, it’s rude.
Uh what?
There’s no evidence of that. And if there is, that’s not why it’s becoming more Diablo like.
Every game developer steals from every other game developer what they think will make their game better. And they will freely admit this. If wow Developers thinks that the game will get better by borrowing factors from diablo, then they will make it borrow from diablo. Same with Final Fantasy XIV or Path of Exile or any other game out there. Hell, the game’s overall structure came from everquest. And they stole some from Dark Age of camelot. And they stole some from Star Wars galaxies. It has nothing to do with who works on the game.
The gaming landscape has changed. And the people of game have changed. They don’t have the patience that they used to. Gamers raised with the games that have come out in the last 10 years expect the competitive modes to be more easily accessible, take less time to reach, and have more frequent Rewards than 18 years ago. That’s just reality. And any game, in order to remain competitive, is going to have to a factor that in. Any game that does not, is going to have a lot less developers working on it, which means a lot less content. That’s just economic reality. We could cry wow for trying to milk more money out, but money is what makes content. If well makes less money, we will get less wow. As long as the game continues to be fun for me, and it is, I will keep playing it. And when it is no longer fun, I will put it down and walk away.
no, no it wasn’t…because vanilla was actually fun.
Quite the contract, blizzard is very interested in knowing why he left. And this is exactly the kind of place that they would like to hear about it. Since the reasoning for leaving boxes not long enough for something like this. Feedback is critical to the game. And some of us might like to comment on it. Maybe get a little understanding of what people think about the game. Seems entirely appropriate to me
There is evidence. Look it up. I think it happened during WOD.
ANd yes when your ideas that you implement in diablo are moved to WOW you get WOWablo.
I’ve always enjoyed 2 things in wow. Pvp and raids. Pvp all day and get your base dungeon gear and be ready for tuesday night and whatever other night the 2nd try is. I’ve never like m+ dungeons they just seem repetitive and boring. Probably only done a dozen or so.
I understand how you feel. The gear gap and cc is out of control in pvp and the m+ dungeons seem to be the only thing blizz cares about because people buy tokens to get ran through a high level m+. The game has gone from a bunch of guys that invented it in 2004 for people that enjoy and love video games to 2023 pay to win system.
Byyee bruh
He really isn’t a Mythic Raider…any guild that actually attempts Mythic will get the first 2 bosses for free. With 7/8H they’re just like every other “Mythic Guild” thats hardstuck.
Top 2 or 3 first 2 mythic boss kills just means you guys no lifed it harder at the start, case in point a month later you’ve barely progressed.
Your guild isnt competitive enough to require grinding M+ so its a you issue. You’ve put all this pressure on yourself when its absolutely unnecessary.
The gear gap and cc is out of control in pvp
What gear gap? You could only possibly think there’s a problem with PvP gearing in this expansion if you think anything other than a template system is unacceptable
Parasitic game design is a real thing. That’s where they rip out old systems leaving classes barely playable until you earn back what they removed, sometimes at a much higher level. Like MM hunters who used to get barrage at ~level 40? back in the old days, and now it’s been made a capstone talent they must be almost max level to get. Or removal of old story and events to make old content meaningless in any context. Or making old raids and end content harder so players have to level up and then go back to it at a much higher level than it was originally intended for.
They’re really good at figuring out how to make the game experience less enjoyable. It appears they think people will find this an incentive to level up, play more, and inspire them to greatness.
this!! This guy nailed the state of the game that Ion has made for us since 2016. It’s good for CEO’s and high level blizz management it it’s terrible for the loyal player. And that’s why subs are down. And will keep going down. Until we get a whole new leadership from top to bottom. It’s just the same pig in different lipstick with this current crew.
It’s good for short term profits. But it burns out even loyal players eventually.
Yeah and the old player base are already thirsty for something new and they will waiti because someone will make a new game eventually. It’s like a new song you fall in love with on the radio. It’s got ya hooked and you think there’s no way someone can make a new song Better than this…but eventually someone does
Expectations are things you set yourself, and they never stay the same forever. Take care wherever your journeys take you.
