Beautiful. Tear in my eye. Beautiful.

GD: I will stop complaining when you cave into my thick list of demands that are not possible to accomplish without several years of work and all resources funneled into it.

Saw this one awhile back - it only gets more and more relevant with the passage of time.

And this is how players like me feel ultimately.

No blame. No anger. Just… sorrow. Because it could of been so much more.

Yes waking sands! I am right there in that game with you brother! Syn on Balmung server! Thats where its at babey YEAH!

OP very great post on your situation with your sub and what the Devs should do when people quit is accepting feedback. Great post. Time and time again Its about greener pastures and no “short term systems” They need to open up their ears and quit going thru the motions. Just like the leak said in the last few days. The boat is sinking fast.

Good luck in your gaming endeavours OP my sub is over in two months and I will be making a similar post!

Was not expecting to see this in a big wall of text regarding feedback, and I appreciate it so much. Most walls of text I see from people quitting are heavily based on gearing systems and game balance.

Not enough appreciation for the music made for this game. Hell, if you search “who makes World of Warcraft music?” it will tell you Russell Brower, even though that’s not true anymore. But that just shows how phenomenal his music was.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts OP, and listing specific things you want to see changed.

Cheers.

SJW’s man, they’re the worst. In this secret cabal of baby eaters and Illidan worshippers. Playing the long game.

It’s not even the current state of the game that makes me bitter.

It’s the refusal to recognize reality. To admit fault. To take responsibility.

If we had those things, we would also have hope. But if they are truly “happy” with how the game is now… it’s never going to improve or innovate, nor will it regress to a state that was more enjoyable for me.

They’re just going to continue to tunnel in on creating that eSports game while churning out systems that overtly exist solely to farm time /played.

E-Sports. Truly that’s another major cancer on this game. Make a new Game that can be that if you must. But trying to convert WoW into that? Bad idea that reeks of ‘follow the cash’, and showcases that they aren’t serious about the RPG portion of MMORPG.

Like I said earlier in my lengthy post:

That’s literally all that most of us need.

Nothing more, besides maybe dialing back the rage filled ideological rants on Twitter.

It’s practically a trope at this point how many of my teachers and professors started off their classes with that “The genesis of knowledge is the willingness to admit that you don’t know everything already”-speech. It’s baseline for academic and subsequent professional growth. Yet… those making the decisions seem to have never learned this lesson.

And I generally hate to single anyone out, but I can’t help to wonder if this was unavoidable given Ion’s elevation. He’s a great raid designer - the best in the business… but his previous profession hinged upon exuding unfaltering confidence, and he led an overtly exclusionary number-crunching guild. The game we have now is precisely what you would expect from putting that person in charge. Take from that what you will.

Yeah this would be pretty sweet. Even now the 230 items being Unique-Equipped… like… come on.
