It would be like if a grocery clerk tried to prevent the bodybuilder from leaving the store (killing Anduin), either by physically restraining him or by standing in the way of the exit.
You guys physically stood in the way of our path to Anduin, and attacked us as we went to engage. I wouldn’t call that unprovoked, as you all could’ve easily NOT tried to defend.
(I’m not saying it’s bad that you defended, just that you can’t call it an unprovoked attack if you went to the keep intending to fight us off.)
