Citation needed that botters don’t use subscriptions.
…What makes you seriously think that botters won’t try that instead then? I mean don’t you think that the banks and Blizzard will find this sketchy, regardless of who's doing it?

All the forum trolls hopping on the defend the decision bandwagon since its the juiciest bait that’s appeared in a long time.
They’re just trolls who couldn’t care less
No, they just want an echo chamber, and they have one…
Enjoy subs and WoW tokens in their current form while they last, soon there will come a day where anyone who is playing WoW can only do so if they pay for 60 days minimum…
if theory is correct u can still buy a month with token so this doesnt combat botters at all btw
Watch them double the prices of WoW tokens, and the game time of WoW tokens… then they’ll turn around and do the same with subs…
The botters won’t care, they’ll pay however much and keep doing what they’re doing with longer periods of game time, because they have made (an illegitimate) business of their own out of what they do…
Activision / Blizzard is not making this decision because of botters, they are doing it to ease the community toward bulk payments, little by little… before this happened, they tested the waters with price gouging Canadian players and those in other countries… incrementalism, basically…
The change doesn’t effect you so why do you care beyond wanting to be a contrarian?
If blizz cared about botting they could stop it super easy but they don’t.
Less licking their boots and more common sense… You even later shift your apologetics to say they’re not a charity, congrats on conceding and thinking it’s a defense.
You are 100% correct. It is 100% so people forget to unsub 1 or 2 extra months. That’s a lot of extra money.
–ATTENTION-- I am ending this conversation once and for all. This 30 to 60 day / forcing you into a sub is 100% a money grab scum tactic. They would rather you have a life changing event and forget to unsub wow, because at the time you didn’t plan on unsubbing. It’s that reason they did this. For an extra $250,000 dollars a year. It is 100% to force you into subs, and the losers saying just do it are the same losers that allow betamale tech companies to rule their life.
This effects all the players like myself who use wow tokens purchased with in-game gold to add money to their blizz balance to then purchase 30-day game time on alt accounts. This change makes people have to double their time & effort to get game time on accounts that aren’t their mains and are not used as frequently which is basically adding unnecessary time and effort to us for no reason.
Couldn’t you just send the money to the alts? That’s all it takes. Buy a token on them and use it.
One extra step, and really come on, you are playing for free.
Thats the problem. You can’t send the money to the alts. They cannot use the mailbox or trade without a sub see the greed?
No I see a person who waits til the last minute to re-up and blames others.
Again one extra step to play for free, and look at you 16 days later still fuming.
Oh so clearly you have no idea how the system works and you have no clue what’s going on here. Take care
I clearly do, you don’t.
Why don’t you have the money on your alts already? Why wait til your account is not active?
Ever hear of proactivity?
The onus is on you, yet here you are blaming everyone else. Life is going to be tough for you overall if this is how you perceive things,
actually that is not the real issue. if you sub for 60 days and decide the game sucks after a few hours or days, you lose an extra 14.99 because no refunds. (the original way: sub for 30 day, hate it? u lose 14.99 - new way? hate it ? lose 29.99)
it is a marketing ploy - activision is all about the bottom line. don’t read too much into it.
It looks like the Federal Trade Commission is looking at automatic renewals or what they call “negative-option” billing by business. Of course, corporations and their trade organizations are already lobbying the regulators opposing any changes. Probably not aimed at companies like Blizzard though.
