They did try a lot of things. The only thing they didn’t do was to randomly force people to play a specific faction. That won’t go over well.

They never did faction ratio balancing queues.

And think about how well that would have gone over with the players for a moment.

The best thing for AV (all of Classic really) is for all that “you think you do but you don’t” types to hit their trigger and quit.

What’s left over will be the real vanilla fans. Then, we will have a good game and community.

PvP NEVER results in faction balance. It does, however, lead to Warmode and Mercmode.

OK? I have done so at length. It would have led to a better experience for every person in game and healthier servers overall, had they been implemented on day 1.

They have been demonstrated to be a successful tool. But hey, heaven forbid we do something private servers did, despite the success of the tool.

I remembet some 2 hour queurs back in vanilla on busy days. The kids today who are whining are the ones who never actually played vanilla like the op.
