Boosting should be banned. But probably won’t. Blizz is going to sell their own boosts soon enough. Which I’m sure that little gnome is terrified of. He already lost the ability to collect Swipers’ gold in GDKPs. If he lost it by not providing boosts what else can he do? Can’t even transfer gold between versions anymore.

The change actually harms blizzards short term bottom line; so I haven’t mentioned it, let me explain.
By doing this they’ve put a stop to retail gold being purchased and traded to other versions. Some will say gold token will fix it, but no because gold token is direct sure but they then lost the income on the botters on retail farming and then mueling gold to various versions.
Long term however if they can find the stomach to take a temporary loss and actually ban the buyers in turn killling the bots; this alone will show Good will and integrity in gaming, something that is VERY important, that would attract a lot of gamers because integrity matters.

It’s nice that they made this change. But it would be completely undone if they add the token, which some people ask for.
Wrath crashed overnight when token was added. Retail has been on a downward spiral since… I think its to much obvious greed and that turns players off.

People buy a token and gold changes hands, thats literally all it is.
Population of Wrath classic flushed down the toilet the exact same week it was introduced.
On 05-24-2023 the Population was just under 300k
The token launched the 23rd of that month.
On 06-21-2023 TOGC launched and it went to 360k population

The token came out at the end of Ulduar so the population naturally went down.
Chart i looked at doesnt have ICC numbers tho, they prolly hit 400k+

While Trial isn’t exciting, ICC is a decent raid for Wrath.
Tho, raid logs aren’t the full story, thats just raid logs, not number of active players.
