Nope. Wotlk saw a dip in players during one of its lulls. I think before ICC. (this data is publically available)
Going by subs, the game was never more popular than in WOTLK. That’s just pure fact.
WoD, Sl, and CATA all had way more peak players than wotlk.
WOTLK had higher growth than TBC.

MMOs have always been about the endgame.
Except during the golden age of MMOs…which is exactly why it was the golden age. Because it was about the journey back then.
People weren’t leveling then saying “that was fun, lets level again”.
Most players didnt even get to max in vanilla. They would level 1 tune to 30, try another class get that to 20, try another class get that to 40.
And an even tinier percent of players cleared Molten Core.
People came for the pvo, they stayed for the leveling, and they wuit in wotlk when it became all about end game.
Because I will say again. Wotlk end game is giga boring. Heroic dungeons in wotlk are the most mindnumbing thing ever.

You didnt embarrass anyone. Your ego wants to believe that, but you didnt. The main that most of my raiding achievements came from was a holy pallly thats only level 52 right now. Some were on my disc/shadow priest, but most on my pally. I decided to level my mage first this time because I figured it would be easier to level a mage than a pally, especially since I’ve never played ret.

Sure its an MMO. You can say solo play is secondary. But its still important.
WoD was the worst due to the great purge alone.

DF couldnt have a purge because it never even had a spike of players to begin with…it was an anti-hype expansion that failed to bring back old players. WoD succeeded in bringing back old players.

Rets also The easiest spec in the game so should have leveled that. You might be a bit more successful.
I can’t tell if you are being serious or trolling. But you are horribly wrong. CATA was the first recorded drop in subs and WOD subs dropped so badly that Blizz stopped releasing sub numbers. And every article about WOw peak sub numbers shows it was in 2010 during WOTLK. Just stop already.

There is nothing wrong with having a different opinion than others, but data doesn’t back your claims up. SL showed an even further drop and would have been total disaster had not been for the release of Classic.

No it isn’t. WoD and the purge are one of the biggest reasons for sub loss in this games history. Between the purge and the second longest drought are the main reasons.
You’re not even realizing the purge is referencing the ability pruning.
And no WoD did not succeed because it’s the sole reason blizzard stopped releasing participation numbers publicly because it was again the worst expansion in this games history.

If achievements are account wide, then you cant back anything up…you and your 611ilvl can barely qualify for heroics…and all of your raiding achievements were earned years and years after I earned the same raiding achievements. Yes, you have a huge ego, yet cant back it up.
I don’t main a mage my guy. I’m a multi CE raider. Probably should have looked at my actual 684 main instead of my barely played alt.
It’s impossible to earn CE after the patch is over

Wasnt it you who said I didnt post on my main, then go on to say you’re not posting on your main? Youre achievements are all very much later than mine, when it was carebear content. Youve been playing over 10 years and all of your feats of strength are from 2022 on except 1 in 2013…lol. Out of all the trolls responding, you’re the least qualified to comment or insult.
