Go back to WotLK&MoP Class Design!

I personally think it’s too far gone and ActiBlizz isn’t interested in listening to feedback. They have their plans and will move forward with the vision that will continue to harm the game.

Agreed. Its full on hubris at this point.

Say thanks to our esports overlords for this dumbed down version. Sarcasm aside though, I hate how they gutted Hunters

Yep, i know as it comes as a surprise, but everyone has different ideas of what a warlock should play like, everyone has ones they like different. as i said, for me i prefer the wotlk demo lock, i know opthers who prefer the vanilla to tbc, others who prefer cata, others for mop, some for wod, and the odd one or two for legion, and ALOT for current demo as its super lit.

except you know… they are removing azerite in 8.2
so there goes your tinfoil hat theory, got another to replace it?

Except they’re not. They’re just adding/moving more of the same to the neck. And whether it’s the neck or the armor pieces it makes no difference. You made no point at all.

Ya, you should look at those 8.2 plans a bit closer.

They haven’t even added new tier talents, it all till level 100

Even though I think MoP was my favorite time for class design, it is still a valid point that most classes did have pretty much everything you could ask for. It worked really well for those who were comfortable with it and knew the game inside and out, but I can definitely see how it could have been off-putting for a lot of people. PvP specifically had a huge barrier to entry due to the massive amount of abilities the game had. Wotlk design is probably what they should shoot for since it had a good balance of great gameplay and every class not having several different self heals, sprints, or executes.

They are removing the need to grind azerite to unlock the traits on the gear.

Maybe you should?
they are removign the need to unlock the traits on gear, it will now have an artifact like system on the neck, and the shoulders, helm, chest, will all just be unlocked from the start.

Doesn’t mean AP is going away there swifty, just the unlock reqs on traits.

so…

Maybe try some other classes though, I am having a blast in destro and demo, even affliction is fun to line up those perfect 5 ua 15 agony and corruption deathbolts with the cooldown.

I’ve leveld 7 classes I think. I’ve had my fill of BFA.

I mean 7 is not all of them, that one class might be waiting for you.
and you tried every spec? cause i know many people including myself loving their class.

This, something blizzard can’t quite get through their “Very thick skulls” even when the content went dry or the gameplay was grindy, fun playing classes kept a number of people playing *I leveled more Alts in Mop than all the other expansions combined.

I like shaman more now than I did in MoP and Demo Lock is a lot better than clunky Meta Spec.

Yay I can upvote this post again.

Seriously though, I agree with most of this. I’ve recently benched my beloved Guardian Druid, the only main I’ve ever had up until this most recent patch(8.1 as of this post) because it’s so godawful boring to play.

Rental abilities tied to gear are not fun or engaging. It was kind of OK in Legion because the artifact weapons were a constant part of our character so it almost felt like real character progression. However that feeling was still hollow because we knew we’d be losing all of it when we retired the weapons. Azerite Armor, with constantly having to re-grind the same traits back over and over is just horrible design. Sure I realize that aspect of the system is going away with 8.2, and that’ll be a major improvement, but it never should have made it past to conception stage like that in the first place. The fact that it did is a worrying indicator of the direction Ion is taking this game.

I miss being able to pop Tranquility while off-tanking to help the healers out a little bit. It probably didn’t really do a whole lot but it made me feel good. It made me feel like I was doing more than just the bare minimum to help my raid team out. That, to me, is why people say classes feel so boring now. Because all you can do is the bare minimum of whatever your role is.

I care about class identity and uniqueness, but I don’t care one single iota about spec identity and uniqueness. I want to be a DRUID who specializes in Bear Tanking, not just a Bear Tank that can’t do any other Druid stuff.
