Neat read in regards to the smaller bits of lore like the lullabies, chants, and translated tribe names, but I once again think that piling all the bad onto Zul’jin and absolving all the Amani of thousands of years of conflict isn’t a great angle. Would it be unacceptable to let a character from the old lore just be cool and justified within their own rights? Goodness knows he already got a poor send-off by being made into a raid boss.

Also the use of “colonialism” to inflict the guilt of modern sensibilities onto a fantasy setting is a very Western-centric expression of “We translated a name poorly”. Basically treating humans and the most human-adjacent races (elves/dwarves/gnomes) as “colonizers” while everyone else is native to the land.
