When is blizzard gonna ban the guilds doing GDKPs for hundreds of thousands of gold? These runs are obviously money laundering for gold buyers.
We have a guild on my server that is set up around gdkp runs. They have 4-5 runs per week. Their officers consist of several blizzard employees. They are complicit in this.
Never, because they don’t violate the EULA.
They would just ban the gold buyers.
Should they ban the auction house too because someone who bought gold will buy things from the auction house?
Of course not. Go after the real perpetrators.
Blizzard has actively stated they are going to do nothing in regards to GDKP.
Then why are gold buyers only getting banned for 14 days? Thats just a slap on the wrist. Besides gold buyers usually have burner accounts.
That’s a question for blizzard.
Might be true but there isn’t really a way to enforce it.
Just permaban the credit card used in the gold buying account.
They won’t because GDKP is not a problem.
GDKP encourages gold buying and rewards gold selling.

That is not a problem unique to GDKP
No where else encourages buying LARGE AMOUNTS for use in one evening.
Blizzard employees in the past have been caught gold selling… Not saying that is happening again but that is a super big red flag.
Cross your fingers for Microsoft. I don’t really play any Xbox games so I’m not 100% on their practices. Let’s hope its good ones.
GDKP isn’t the problem. Explotive gold farms along with gold sellers/buyers is the problem.
Gdkp will exist even with 0 gold buying or selling. Some people like farming gold. Some people like doing raid even they don’t need anything. Gdkp is a perfect for them.
Guys let me just spend this reasonable amount of wooping 213000 gold on a T6 piece. I farmed this very hard for the past 8 months that is why I throw it out for just one single item which will be going for only 15k at most next week. No no I just farmed it thats why I value my gold this much. I could have bought a gladiator mount with it but I know I can farm it so quick again it doesnt matter so I buy an item which is a 5% upgrade for goldcap.
The only thing that would cost this much would be a glaive.
Seen someone pay 75000 on a stream in hyjal on headpiece first id. I just made an example as it might happen and its due to people having bought the gold. Not all do it but there is people in there doing it sadly
In practice, GDKP is fun and rewarding, and great way to earn easy gold when you have great gear.
It’s a shame the other half happens.
