I love how all the uber L33ts gotta roll up every thread that criticizes Suramar to rub it in your face how much they
:heart:loved :heart: it, because epeen.

But I agree, op. Suramar is beautifully designed but crap to quest in. It was where I quit the game until BFA because it was ludicrously hard to get anything done on a clothie, being a partially paralyzed player. The difficulty jumped up way too high for me to deal with because of my mobility issues, and I realized that the content wasn’t made for players like me, and there were no other options, so I just cancelled my sub.

I enjoyed suramar. Being a resistance fighter in an enemy held city was the first time in a long time i felt danger in the open world.

It would be the worst zone in the game, if not for argus. They had paladin mount, balance of power, and flying all tied to the horrible design of suramar rep grind. They’d give you a quest on one part of the city, then you’d have to go all the way around to the other for the objective. Terrible.

umm no? The only one in your list gated at max level was tanaan jungle. And even then, Tanaan jungle isn’t comparing apples to apples. It wasn’t available on exp release. Tanaan jungle is comparible to broken shore, argus, and timeless isle - zones that were added in a major content patches after initial exp release, to continue at max level.

All of the other ones you listed were the highest level zones meant as the final stretch to max level. You could totally go start every single one of those before max level. lt’s just that a lot of people reached max level before they actually got there, especially as new exp packs came out and xp increases and level stat squishes happened.

Meanwhile, Surumar was available at day 1 of exp launch, but you couldn’t start any of the quest lines until you hit 120.

I hate questing through the zones while leveling. Im not speaking for legion end game nor can I, but thats my most dreaded expac to level in the game.

I unsubbed from WoW cause of Surumar. It was overturned like crazy, and it was a nightmare getting anything done. The layout worked against you. The quest locations were hard to figure out sometimes, and getting from upper to lower levels became a pain because too many mobs pulled you out of stealth and then the whole area would pounce on you. Stealth missions are good once and a while. Having the whole entire area be nothing but one giant stealth area was such a huge turn off for me. That being max level content that I was forced to grind out or else I couldn’t progress, just caused massive burn out. I lasted longer in WoD then Legion.

Beautiful city lay out. Art department out did themselves again. Game play wise, one of the worst zones I have ever played in. But that’s Just my opinion in regards to myself and the type of game play I don’t enjoy doing.

That’s not really the point I was making… I never said Blizzard lied about when it would be released or whatever. I said IMO they made a mistake in doing it.
