Glacial Spike Change Feels So Bad

havent played any competitive content this expansion due to changes in my personal life, but ive been enjoying frost mage for quick casual/solo content quite a bit

the glacial spike change has made that quick content feel pretty poopy not gonna lie

most fights dont last long enough to get enough stacks to fire a single glacial spike, and sometimes all the icicles i stacked up will just fall off between fights when i find myself backtracking in delves and ritual sites

feels like i just lost a significant (and satisfying) part of my opener for the sake of tooltip clarity or something

can see how this change wouldnt be as significant or impactful to raid or m+ players, who dont have a lot of downtime between fights, who actually get to generate and use their stacks, but for something that was supposed to be a change to help new/casual players, it sure messed up the way the class feels for the content those players start off in or primarily enjoy

feels like maybe it woulda been better to teach them where their spell is literally any other way

If you post in the “in-development” section, there’s a higher chance Blizz might see your post, and STILL completely ignore it/have their mods remove it because “hurr durr, can’t have the game be good again,” for whatever reason.

I also don’t like having to HARD cast Glacial Spike, ESPECIALLY when I play Frostfire SPECIFICALLY for the instant cast Frostbolts, but despite me actually posting such in the “in development” section, I see ZERO indication that anything is going to be done to fix ANYTHING that actually matters.

Plenty of classes still suffer from rotations which would be better if they had even just ONE more active ability, as well as talent “choices,” which are the most cookie cutter they’ve ever been.

Another problem is frostbolt is such a weak spell
