Give Worgen Tails (Part 1)

And this is your option!
I would like to have the option of adding a tail and nobody wants that option to come out of nowhere. No more void belvesque.

Nobody is against a lore that explains the optional cosmetic.
If orcs can be upright, worgen can also have this option.
If orcs can be green, even if they are searched for in another timeline, but worgen cannot have a cosmetic that makes them more ferocious, with a wolf aspect.

Give worgen tails! They show up in the old worgen comics with Malfurion

Give worgen tails!
And while you’re at it, update their looks and audio a bit. The females are blah and sound awful in combat. Awful! :grimacing:

ive never played worgen but i always thought they already had tails?

If they add them, I hope they’re made optional. I don’t think a tail would look good on a worgen model.

Nobody is against a lore explaining the optional and sudden growth of tails? People in this very thread are against it.

And no, a posture change isnt the same as growing a tail. BS.

If Worgen can grow a tail with a BS lore change to explain it, I want my Orc to have the option to have 2 extra arms. Options, right? You wouldnt be against options for players?

Never give up! Never surrender! We will have our tails before the fight is over! It is a dog’s given right to chase her fluffy tail in circles!

A posture change for orcs is an entire skeleton change. That change doesn’t just happen overnight. The change doesn’t require just standing up straight, their skeletons naturally grew that way for hundreds of years.

It’s very much the same.

Look at your posture, right now, hunched as you are over your keyboard.
Like your parent kept on telling you, stand straight. Do it. Yeah, just like that. Did your whole skeleton changed? nope, you just finally listen to your parents.

Amazin.

It’s like you didn’t read what I said at all. The hunch isn’t a choice; it is a skeletal formation. This exists in real life. People with scoliosis and kyphosis have spines that are, by nature, hunched. They can’t just “stand up straight.” It’s how their skeletons work. If orcs weren’t supposed to stand hunched over, it would have given them intense back pain. Their backs were supposed to be like that.

Worgen have tails in all kinds of official Blizzard art, books, and even on the cover of the recent board game, where Genn straight up has a tail.

Even if they hadn’t until now, adding an option is FINE. It doesn’t hurt you. It won’t damage your fragile soul if other players have the option to not have primate-butts for once after a decade.
This is a ridiculous fantasy game, and people have transmogs like yeti pajamas, rolling pins and laser guns. Calm down and let people enjoy things.

PS the lore is completely arbitrary, and they can change it in a moment. Gameplay always came first. MMORPGs do best when players can have options to express themselves.

We want tails.
Give worgen players a tail option.

Your argument : Previous lore, visual, universe doesnt matter, I want tails as an option. All of this is arbitrary anyway, so who cares, enjoy things.

Okay, Then I want 4 arms on my orc. “Adding the option is FINE”. I want a sheep head as an option on my Gnome as well. Oh, Always wanted to play a Night elf with a hooves instead of hands. Its fine, it’s an option, it wont hurt you. Doesnt slowly destroy any semblance of universe we had. It’s fine, since you know…you want it.

lol turbo you can petition for your four arms and sheep heads if you want. We won’t stop you.

you are the weird, grouchy old man waving his cane at people who have ideas.
Reflect on that a bit. Is that who you want to be?

I will never understand what afflicts the brain in these people who, like grouchy old men on the porch, demand that other players in an MMORPG shouldn’t be able to have more customization options.

It’s well established that alpha animation rigs had tails, and they were cut to rush cata’s release. They had tails in concept art. Christie Golden had to go through after the book was written and take out tail references after the fact.
Even this recent board game that was announced shows Genn Greymane with a freaking tail. So have a seat.

Tails were the intention from the start because the characters are bipedal wolves, just like countless wolf-people, werewolf or wolf-like creatures from thousands of years of folklore across the entire planet.

Worgen are a fantasy race that are clearly based off wolf people, it’s completely arbitrary whether they have tails or not, just like elf eye color, half-elf ear options, turning into a weird bowser-turtle thing instead of a bear if you’re a druid, whatever.
It’s a silly video game, people want their characters who are wolves who can hold weapons and talk to have tails like actual wolves, (kind of like the exact same phenomenon happening with cattle and foxes in the game as well) it’s very normal to expect that, and frankly, extremely weird that these 5% holdout weirdos want to die on this hill of defining a fantasy race as “werewolves… except they can’t have tails”.
No. Shh. Enough from you. Your argument is weird and insane.

If you don’t want a tail on your worgen, cool! Don’t use the option. We’re not trying to force anyone.

But shut up and let people have nice things that make the game more fun for them. You gain nothing by denying people more cosmetic customization options.

No, wait- stop. Don’t rage-type a reply. Think about this for a minute.

This is a game where green-boar men engineer giant airships, purple ladies teleport around and 2-foot tall midgets murder giant monsters with absurd, schlocky weapons. This game is stupid and fun. Let it be fun!

you’re not going to require counseling if some wolf people finally get tails.

Give worgen tails!
