Give Worgen Tails (Part 1)

I think in general they care too much for the “Human” aspect of the Alliance.

Unpopular opinion, but they should never have given us the “turn into human” racial.

While the animation is cool, having another shapeshift is cool, being able to disguise myself as a pretty British human is cool, it makes for awkward characterization.

If a worgen feels “cursed,” why would they ever use that transformation? I imagine humans are treated better than worgen are, as well. Why would Caelus, a druid, ever use her worgen form if she can instead be the human she was before it all went down?

Give worgen bones to munch on. Make it a racial. A bone pops out of thin air, they nibble on it and quickly bury it into the ground.

Funny thing is probably half the people here will not get that. Even worse they can’t name the second character standing there. Yet for MUHHHHH Lore reasons they don’t want options. Good argument.

The name escapes me right this second, but that’s Genn’s wife, and looks like she’s annoyed at how much he’s shedding lol.

Yes to all of those… ESPECIALLY BETTER FEMALE VOICE. Why can Celestine of the Harvest sound so lovingly sweet but our characters cannot? XD

That is something I would love to see but the whole reason Worgen should have the deeper gruff voice is they go from normal human size to an 8 foot monster. Sadly this is not reflected in game and instead we got a 500 year smokers voice. But that can be done later. We want the bigger changes to happen now so it don’t “cost us a raid tier” which was the given excuse for why Worgen didn’t get change.

PS. Post 1500 keep it up guys! Well will make our voice be heard and let them know we want an optional tail!

Celestine must have spent millions of gold on speech therapy then, because she has the sweetest voice in worgen form… XD

Edit:
Found a video with a quote from Celestine:

DO

Don’t forget about Fiona, she has the same voice too!

imma copy and paste what i said in that other thread

i don’t care whether tails gets added or not, but if they do, i want some detail

make certain armor pieces have armor on the tail, and have customization, don’t just slap it on and call it a day

while we’re at it, let Draenei remove tails and Tauren remove horns

Weekly hip bump from the this local vulpera for worgens to get tail options.

Thought I’d add this to the cause.

A small harmless bump for Worgen tails

One thing people tend to forget here is more options mean more people will be more likely to play the race. If you can make your character look the way you would like it to you would be far more likely to play it. For 10 years Worgen females had one of the worst looking models and most comments were they would play the race if it didn’t look so bad. There was those of us who refused to give up hope that one day the model would be changed and it only took 10 years. This is another chance for Worgen models to be changed to appeal to more players so I am totally for the optional tail rather its lore friendly or not. Lets be honest with each other Blizzard could care less about Worgen and will not give us a quest or lore chain explaining tails, so just put them in as an option and let the players choose if they want to use it or not. Simple change that gives us a choice in the customization of our models. If you don’t want it you don’t have to use it. If you don’t like it… well its not your character so let others play how they want. They spend the same amount of money you do each month on the game why can’t they be happy with the race they choose to play.

Yes please on the tails.

I have been horde since all the way back in 2004, and would probably main a worgen if they had tails. That’s an impactful statement from a long time player.

I made a worgen a while back just for fun and to get the intro quests and story, and also to see if I would be willing to play an alliance character. I chose worgen because they do offer quite a bit of appeal from a horde player in their models and lore and I like their ferocious yet civilized, dark yet pleasant vibe, as well as them being a good-willed yet tragic people. I was shocked to find out that they did not have a tail.

They definitely need a tail to accompany their cunning yet sophisticated, wolfish silhouette. Thier movements, their imposing yet refined structure, thier; gruff, shadowy, melancholy, dapper or ferocious animalistic demeanor and appearance all said to me that something was missing, and it didn’t take long before I realized that they really should have a tail to complete their wolfish kit. It may seem small but it’s an important feature that I’d like to see become an option. they can vary and enrich the personalizes and stories and appearance of your toon as well, fine, spiky, torn, mangy, brushed, long, short, etc.

if goblins didn’t have long pointy ears, you’d know there was something off, if ogres weren’t big-bellied, you’d just know something was a mistake, if nightborne weren’t slender and dusky you’d know something’s not quite right here. the worgen model literally feels like it’s incomplete and that something is missing…

I play to wrap myself up in the fantasy of these races and their stories in the world. I also love wow because of how our beloved races look. their art and animations are very appealing and comfortable. Not having a tail was irksome, mostly because the model just does’t feel finished. A tail (option) would only enhance, and definitely befit them. Goldrinn has a tail so I not only don’t see why the worgen couldn’t have one, I think it’s appropriate for them to. At least an option. Some have them, some don’t. Not lore breaking in any way.

I would definitely consider playing and possibly maining a Gilnean worgen (which should stun and shock some of you as I’ve been horde since 2004, that’s how cool worgen are (with tails)), not an elf worgen - in case night elves are how Blizzard decides to give us worgen with tails - I’m not interested in that - I prefer the victorian/gothic vibe of the gilnean human people, along with their worgen curse, their nature, culture, history, traditions, ideals, beliefs, morals, architecture, style, and special circumstance(s)/lore, as well as their aesthetic.

Tails wouldn’t be lore breaking, not if some worgen have them and some don’t.
meaning the worgen suddenly having tails in game could have always had them or not, or maybe they were stubby. Blizzard’s explanation of the new Blood Elf skin colors and that they’re not lore breaking is that it’s simply because blood elves could have always had these colors, which after some consideration and mulling it over, I agree with. These are skin colors they could have always had, and I believe npc’s will receive the range of these colors too. So, it could simply be that worgen have always had tails, and it’s just that blizzard is now implementing them. Some npcs can have them, some don’t, some players have them, some don’t. It’s similar to the blood elf and other race options. It improves them, it gives players options and makes us happy, it really just helps the game all around. It’s really simple and it’s a win for everyone.

Tail please!

Thanks!

Beautifully put! I love how much thought you put into this response and I wholeheartedly agree with all of it.

We would be happy to have you. Coincidence or not, tauren are the closest thing to Alliance you can get on the Horde. I’m honored to have Horde mains advocating for worgen tails. I hope we can get them! It’s not looking great at the moment, but if we sustain these threads long enough, we might be taken seriously.
