Wait really? Boss drop or random mob? This warrior might need to go do some sunken temple farming. I figure the legs were modded, but still thatâs a nice design I wouldnât mind seeing in the game.
Yes they were, they were literally a monster in vanilla that people feared.
And then again in the starting quest they are built up in a âamerican werewolf in londonâ style setting as the inner monster you struggle to deal with.
Yes I have, you and others are just constantly latching onto the furry thing.
let me repeate one more time.
Worgen are better when they look more like monsters.
They are more interesting when they have a conflicting dynamic of âstruggle with your inner monsterâ They should look like monsters. Adding tails detracts from all of that and just pushes the wolf-furry image which is not intimidating. Worgen should be intimidating.
nope⌠ive played the worgen storyline and they were definately very clearly described otherwise, very shortly into the worgen story. one of the npcs even says âyou are not a monsterâ after you turn into one
The âclipping nightmareâ is a total fabrication, evidenced by Wolfieâs posts above. As far as the âstruggle with your inner monsterâ, that doesnât work because, again, WoWâs theming doesnât allow it to. WoW isnât a horror game, and Worgen arenât all slavering monsters ready to go to bat for the taste of blood.
Fionaâs Caravan. Lieutenant Thorn. Just two examples of countless Worgen just doing their best to keep on keeping on.
infact gen greymane is the farthest thing from a monster and hes the leader of theworgen. he is by far the most tame and well mannered of the worgen, and is honestly adwyns lapdog almost
(Also the model for tailed worgen exists since saurok are reskinned worgen with tails just attached to the model. So all Blizz would have to do is add fur to the saurok model.)
Iâve heard enough of your nonsense. Noone âfearedâ the worgen. They were just another mob you dealt with in game. Stop inserting your views as replacement for the actual truth.
As Lingxiu said, the clipping nightmare only exists in your head.
Secondly if you ever bothered to do the heritage armor quest for the worgen, youâd learn they do deal with that struggle still every waking moment, and can still pass on the curse via a bite.
They are still fearsome in their own right even looking more natural as they do now and a tail will not change this. Stop derailing this thread and shut. up.
Thats funny, go watch the cinematic of him and Sylvanas in Stormheim. As just one example, Graymane and the worgen are frequently portrayed as monsters that should be feared.
NPCs in game, not players.
They are not as fearsome as they should be and adding fluffy tails will detract from that even further. You also just outright admited my point that they are monsters.
IT IS NOT DONE BY AN OFFICIAL BLIZZARD ARTIST AND IT IS FAN MADE. EXPECT IT NOT TO BE PERFECT. It is done by the artist Shearx who also is using the alpha female skeleton as opposed to live. Do not use clipping as an excuse now.
every single one of those werewolf images with tails look NOTABLY more monsterous than worgen, its not just about the tail its about the whole package, and worgen in their current state, adding tails will make them look less monsterous.
IF they redesign worgen to look like hulking wolf abominations, then sure, add tails to complament it. but as they stand adding tails makes them look worse.
Also those concept art images are aweful Iâm really glad they didnât go with that design.
Bloody hell Wolfie, that concept art has me wanting to race change my fury warrior here to worgen. That is actually 9 kinds ofâŚwell I canât use the word here on the forums, but you know what I mean!
Again, Fionaâs Caravan. Lt. Thorn and Baros. Many Worgen are just fluffy humans in most temperament. This makes sense because, well, they are fluffy humans. What you want are Sons of Arugal which, well, are basically mindless killing machines. Makes for a really bad PC.
Ah, yeah, I too remember when Onyxia surrendered out of pure fear when my Worgen owoâd at her really, really hard.
OK, letâs hear it. Whatâre your suggestions for âmore fierceâ. Mange? Stitching? Câmon, hit me, youâve got the floor.
In my opinion, i think the problem (when it comes to females) are that the eyes look a bit too cartoony. Now, try and use your imagination here. What if we had a female worgen model with this sort of face as opposed to what youâve seen in the model screenshots:
This edit was done by me. Not only did I change the eyes to the alpha model, but I also adjusted the ear positioning (not the size though). Either way, imagine that with a tail. Would that be more suffice as more âsavageâ?
I didnât admit anything. I said they are still fearsome regardless of the change in look. I still find this look to be a vast improvement over the original. By comparsion to the rest of the Alliance, they are still monsters.
I would say thereâs more to being monsterous than just looks, but that point would fly over your head because youâre still stuck in the quagmire of âmust hate on furriesâ.
The best thing you can do right now is silence yourself, and go find another thread to bother. Iâm sure thereâs a few vulpera hate threads floating around you can go echo chamber in.
