One day we will get options… till then we keep posting.
So a friend of mine came back to play wow, and guess what they did? They race changed off of worgens because they had way too little customizations compared to other races.
People say that customizations don’t matter, but they really do. Customizations give players that unique look to them. Every time I see a worgen, way too often do they all look exactly the same. Worgens need something to help tell em apart from one another. Worgens need both customizable hair AND optional/customizable tails in order to help us be on par with every other race.

Fantastic post.
Albien’s post sums up what the core of the Worgen wish list is.
Here’s a list of things I’ve gathered for the Customizations Megathread that you can add where’d they fit.
Worgen
Worgen have a unique ability to shapeshift into Human forms, but it feels like this is drawing away from the actual Worgen options that you use the vast majority of the time, also their options are mostly changing fur patterns on similar looking faces.
Worgen Suggestions
Hair/Mane
- Larger and more visible Braids/Patches/extensions.
- More Hair decorations/accessories. (Maybe a small hat or rose for Females)
- Separate Beard options and add more beard styles.
- Mane Color Options.
Face/Eyes
- Improve the Heterochromia selection in the menu with Left/Right Eye toggles.
- Improve the Eye Glow Selection.
- More Muzzle Shapes and Teeth options.
- More Ear Selections.
Scars
- Separate scars from faces.
- More facial Scars and Damaged ears.
- Large Body Scars/Bite Marks/Claw Marks.
- Scars Visible in Human Form.
Body
- Dark and Black Fur Colors.
- Tail Toggle, with varying appearance options.
- Shaggier Fur options.
I will be sure to incorporate some of those ideas.
Excellent stuff. I’ll see about integrating what I can a little later tonight.
So a tiny bit off topic but guess this is good a spot as any…
Help me choose how to finish my Xmog look:
Open to any and all feedback on the various parts for the gloves/helm. Thanks ahead of time. <3
I’m thinking the 3rd one, but with the 1st gloves would look pretty good.
Also while we’re on the topics of transmogs. I hit 1800 this week and got the elite set. \o/
Finally a set that matches the color scheme of Armageddon.
Ban furries from WoW
boop
I agree.
That’s a BIG sword.
I disagree with the classes you suggest. I don’t think worgen need more classes, if anything there are classes that are playable by some races but shouldn’t (I’m still mad about that lame excuse to give everyone death knights).
The customization options you suggest are nice, I would like if we had more than one option for a tail tho. I don’t like the shape you suggested, I would prefer something like maybe Warwick’s tail in League of Legends.
Not going to happen… NEXT!
You’re going to have to scroll up and really dig to find the debates on this, as well as find them in other posts but let me boil this down for you.
The monk class is actually, of the 3, the least cannonizeable. Gil’neas being so separate from the rest of the world. However, like every other race except our Horde counterparts, this is a globalized class. The only reason to deny them from goblins or worgen has to do with the time-locked nature of the starting zones.
Paladins are simply priest trained warriors and warrior trained priests from the second war. Gil’neans have both classes and participated in the second war. So paladins are, if anything, conspicuously absent. The worgen “curse” is not a conventional “curse” in the warcraft sense; not being necromantic or fel magic. Worgen are linked to Goldrinn, which does not preclude them being paladins any more than the tauren’s affinity to shamanistic earth magic through their Earth Mother precludes them.
It might surprise you, but shamans are the most canonical of the 3 options, because there are canonical worgen shamans in the game. You know that fire elemental at the top of the volcano in Ashenvale? Guess what race the shaman that is the core Alliance side NPC for this questline is? Her brother, also a shaman and also a worgen, is who sends you to help her.
Think Im going to give this look a shot… Now just think how much better she would look with a tail and a lore correct 8 foot size:
Looking good!
So is your sister in the back. Is she single?
