This shows your ignorance more than anything when it comes to worgen and their origin. The Sythe of Elune was always the source of the worgen curse. Read the full text of this, a quest item from the vanilla questline that eventually sent you to search for the sythe. It explains the source of all worgen in the original game from Ashenvale to Duskwood, and how they ended up in Silverpine.
I find it to be ironic the poster might be unhappy about the idea of a furry in wow is a Tauren.

I need applicants for a worgen b/f who, in the future, will have a set of tails.
If he wants to go against it, he could at least use some argument, but really, it would just be deceit.
No lore points would be altered with the inclusion of a tail as an optional cosmetic for worgen.
And the part of him talking about worgen not being related to wolves was a testament to not knowing what he was talking about.
Worg is an old word for wolf.
Goldrinn is shaped like a wolf. A direwolf. Like a direwolf.
The worgen’s introductory cinematic itself mentions that a worgen is a beast that walks like a man but hunts with a wolf.
Well then. So we need a more wolfish look to better compose the fantasy of being a werewolf.

…I’m sorry but… are you serious with this? You even know how insane this sounds? Worg is literally another word for wolf, their curse is from Goldrinn who’s a wolf wild god, everything about them screams wolf. I mean for crying out loud they’re werewolves which are wolf people… if you’re going to be such a die hard troll at least get your fact’s straight. Better yet please do us a favor and just… take your negativity and leave. There’s the door don’t let it hit you on the way out. To say a worgen isn’t a wolf is like saying a tauren isn’t a cow or a pandaren isn’t a panda.
Unfortunately, yes he is being serious. 
Certainly, sanity is overrated by him. 
He has some bad business resolved with the imagined lore that he is not the same as in the real world.

they serve as proof of lack of justifications for not creating more cosmetics for worgen or any other races, so that they are more customizable.
It’s not something that affects the gameplay of classes or specs, it doesn’t need any balancing.
It’s not something that makes any racial overpowers.
It adds flavor to the game and the characters we have.
More customizations for the game’s classes and races, it’s one of the most frequent requests that would make players more satisfied.
There is no good reason to be against further customization be it for worgen or even taurens, except for those who prefer that we all live in the same pit of bitterness as they do.
Especially a level 20, which is probably just the alt of the same player who comes from time to time in this mega thread just to say that he doesn’t want us to have something so others can have a life as miserable as he is.
The truth is, gamers, warcraft, we all need something positive being created to remedy the immense malaise that is present in the game.
Cosmetic for races and classes, they are something easier and faster to make, for this purpose.
So, it would be a good time for at least in the case of the worgen, to receive this attention with something that is small in size but big in satisfaction.

I love my bushy swishy tail so give worgen the chance to experience the feeling.
I second this, I also adore my bushy tail and wish for the worgen to get to experience the wonder of having one of their own. Maybe also…that multi tail idea mentioned way back for vulpera but more so let the worgen have bushy tails of their own. #giveworgentails

I thought they were some crazy troll with nothing better to do than throw hateful remarks around about worgen or claim that the werewolves aren’t wolves but werewolves… lol

I think they did leave. The last response was 3 days ago. The arguments they made were laughably easy to completely and unambiguously prove false. Looks like they went to troll with another character, or just left the forums altogether. Win either way. 
In a way it was good. I had forgotten how that old worgen quest went and I forgot all about that book quest item. I just found the it when I dug up the quest on wowhead and thought “Well this ends that debate better than just trying to put the lore into my own words from memory.”

You don’t know how many temp bans I’ve gotten defending Worgen post. Each time it happens I laugh and add it to the list. But the post remains on topic so…

I would be surprised if any race in World of Warcraft received any new customizations features before the year 2024.
