Give Worgen Tails (Part 1)

Thing is Worgen are 8 feet tall in lore. They are large monsters not some semi human sized pup.

Haven’t we discussed in a fairly civil manner in this thread that there are those players who care about the pre-existing appearance of their characters?

I’m an avid fan for tails on Worgen. I’d have one on every toon that I play, however, there are those out there who like them the way they are already.

I also understand that there is desire to see the worgen’s height in game reflected in their written lore, but… It’s still take away some of my connection to my characters.

With customisation, I strongly feel options are the way to go. I want anyone who has the same passion for Worgen that I do to feel satisfaction with their characters with regards to tails, height, size, anything similar.

Don’t get me wrong Yaash I am not trying to argue with you. The main reason I would like to see Worgen at the lore correct size is to break up the “Alliance” standard size. Worgen, Kul’Tir, Night Elf, Draenei even Pandarian. All the tall races are almost exactly the same size. Unlike the Tauren and Zandi trolls who give a noticeable size difference in the Horde. That is why I would like to see Worgen at the lore correct size.

Which would be great (I would prefer that as well personally), but having it be an option same as tails as Yaash was saying would personally be best. That way those that don’t wish to be taller can stay as they are, while those that would prefer the more lore accurate size can be taller.

Hopefully the request to give them tails isn’t coming off as unreasonable or that hard to implement. I mean giving them the option for tails makes sense honestly, let those who want them have them and those who like the no tail fuzzy butt way they are now to be happy also. I mean it’s not like we’re asking for a breast size slider to be added, just tails for worgen who want them. Maybe that multi tail idea someone mentioned a while back for vulpera but that’s not a huge need atm. I would however love the option in customizing to get the chance to pick what color my character has for each eye rather than just one set of heterocromia style eyes. Getting back on track though yeah no… #giveworgentails

Have you ever heard of the term “less is more” because that’s what druids used to be. Now every man and his dog can be one removing all mystery and wonder with it. It’s time for blizzard to roll back their mistakes. Also adding new race/combo’s does nothing for those who are already playing the class.

It’s time for this mutant dogs to say bye bye

It probably won’t be til next expansion, but keep it up. I’m living proof that when a thread gets this much support, it usually happens eventually lol.

If you think worgen should not be druids I would recommend reviewing the lore on the Scythe of Elune. That whole corner of lore is what legitimizes the tail thing.

I actually question tauren being druids more than worgen to be frank. Their lore tended more toward shamanism before world of warcraft had need of horde druids.

Pre-cata druids didn’t attack each other because the first druids in this game saw each other as druids of the Cenarion Circle first and Horde/Alliance second.

I doubt you know anything about druids.

I’ll be honest, I don’t think the Vulpera threads did anything to ensure you got your race. Blizzard pretty clearly had the AR’s planned before release.

Bah, you’re looking at it wrong.

Any race with shamans should have also had druids by vanilla.

No way the Tauren aren’t sharing that with orcs and trolls.

Night Elves certainly wouldn’t have shared though. Lol

Maybe, but we got high elf customization for void elves too and that was also a thread here.

Arguing with them is pointless, they aren’t saying it based on any factual reason, they are saying it because they are a person that obviously hates change.

Even putting tails aside, they are stating they are against worgen druids existing for simple the sake of it being another druid class then the classic originals.

‘Options are bad, because change is bad, everything should be as it was’ is their motto based on what they have said.

Evidence is there for your foxy friends.

They were working on em early in the first patches.

Though I’ll grant I’m less convinced your own tails were in the concept until folk got really into vulpera.

I’ll concede the high elf stuff. Got me there. Lol

Actually orc and tauren shamanism have independent origins. That Thrall had become a shaman and brought the practice back to the orcs was part of the reason Carine felt an affinity toward the orcs. Also shamanism leans on the elements/spirit where druidism leans on life/nature.

As for the elves they were kind of forced to if they wanted their scythe, but at that point they were also solidly members of the alliance. I’d have to actually read the books to know much more about worgen druidsim, but it is literally part of their curse… and why druid “wolf form” should have tails.

I am aware that the Orcs (and trolls) had shamanism before the Tauren.

What I meant is that the Orcs trolls and Tauren are very close with one another. There is no way that the Tauren would hold off on teaching the Orcs and Trolls Druidism once they rediscovered it.

Oh, no I mean the vanilla Night Elves likely wouldn’t have shared. They were oddly xenophobic. (well up until WoW anyways)

Worgen and druid stuff makes perfectly good sense to me.

How about no… and not going to happen. I got a max level worgen warlock yet I’m horde. I like the idea of werewolves and since the horde couldn’t have some I had to make one on the alliance but hey that was fine last expansion. Got me the free mounts. If you’d be so kind though…please take your hatred for worgen and such…and take it elsewhere. More so if you’re going to demand anyone with a max level one lose their account for having such. Take your toxic words and salt and please leave. Oh and #giveworgentails

What are you talking about? Shamanism goes back to the War of the Ancients in Tauren society, if I’m not mistaken. And, in all likelihood, Tauren trained in druidism alongside night elves following that war. Night Elves and Tauren had no beef until the orcs showed up

Oh right, and we should give worgen tails as an option because it would make them look better, and be awesome

After that dissolve faction barriers so we can all swish our tails about together

Before I race changed this druid to a Worgen she was a Night Elf. This character was made in 04 back in Vanilla WoW. Don’t even think you can tell me anything about druids I don’t already know. If you don’t want Worgen to have tails that is fine its your opinion. But do not come here and demand Worgen be removed from the game when they have nothing to do with how druid content has been presented in the game. If anything Druids have gotten more updates and content than the Worgen race has ever gotten.
