-The Old Gods are now completely dead after the events of BFA after even the titans couldn’t do the job and have stated multiple times that the death of an old god would spell dangerous results for the planet. Azeroth is now old god free as before we had to deal with their Avatars and not their physical forms.

AFAIK none of the old gods are dead. They’re all “incapacitated”.

-WoD has seemingly been completely erased from Lore besides Mag’har Orcs. The Alternate Yrel Lightforged have been completely dropped after being established as a credible threat, especially to horde players.

WoD is still part of lore. Yrel isn’t a threat because they have no bronze dragonflight to come to our timeline. It may be a story that’s picked up in the future or not. There is nothing to suggest WoD was retconned or removed.

It possible if we ever have a “war against the evil light” expansion that we’ll see Yrel and her lightbound again.

-The few Remaining blue eyed high elves are pretty much endangered, but now players can make blue eyed elves at character creation.

I think the idea of playable blood elves with blue eyes is that a group of high elves who refused to participate in Quel’Thalas society when they were mana vampires came back once the sunwell was restored. Their population is probably comparable to that of void elves.

-The Shadowlands and everything that was changed to justify it’s existence. Uther’s soul being split, meanwhile everyone else being trapped in Frostmourne. The Lich King formerly being controlled by the Burning Legion and Bolvar not telling ANYONE about his visions of the Shadowlands until it was confirmed and convenient.

Yeah hasn’t explained why only half of Uther’s soul went into frostmourn that is weird. Bolvar had talked about his visions before briefly to the player DK in legion. But he wouldn’t elaborate which goes with his character.

After all this stuff, I think we can suspend the idea that worgen don’t need tails because “muh lore.” The lore is already being changed to suit the needs of the game, and if new customization options are on the table with this expansion, then at least give Worgen players the option to have tails.

It’s pretty unlikely that they add the option, if it didn’t come in the big character customization update.

Bliz said that we’ll be getting customisation throughout the expansion. 9.1 or 9.2 will focus on allied races.

While Hearthstone’s story is likely not canon, the game is. Its cards are. Those renditions came from somewhere.

The “story” of hearthstone is literally just wow’s version of a tv show, or video game. It’s fiction based on the “real world” of azeroth. But nothing in it seems to be made up. No species, or attributes. Only stories.

Tails are a limited, non renewable resource, Worgen will have to do without, or steal them from draenei.

Honestly, considering we are in a world where you can turn a person in to a bee or even carry around toys that completely alter your appearance, the easiest answer is to just magicaly poof up a tail. You’re a mage, you could probably cast a tail on yourself!

I am 100% sure the devs confirmed N’zoth was destroyed (on Azeroth). I’m less sure, but fairly sure, that the other old gods were said by a dev at the time to be all dead now.

While there is nothing wrong with that hypothesis, devs have on several occasions said blue eyes would return to the blood elves over time with the renewed Sunwell.

Technically they said AR’s would get a pass later. Not when it would occur.

Though I’d bet we’ll see at least some AR work in 9.1.

Effectively when Blizzard released the Draenei they rewrote the huge lore point in how the Legion was formed and what the Eredar were…

Worse than that it changed a large portion of Sargeras story.

And when it was pointed out Metzen said… “oh… I kinda forgot about that”.

It was fine though because that lore was so far removed that the why it happened wasn’t important. The Legion was still a thing exactly as we had before as after.

Kinda like how optional tails on Worgen would not change a thing.

None of our lore would be affected in any way.

Not sure why anyone tries pretending lore is an issue here.

Or uses that one correction against Golden… Since only Genn is shown in that book.

Also, even if it were meant to refer to all Worgen its not an impediment to adding tails. Otherwise orcs wouldn’t stand up, and belves and velves wouldn’t have new skin tones or eye colors.

Minor things like cosmetics are easy to change. Cause they don’t matter to lore.

Since we’re barfing up the same image again because they now have no other excuse other than that one picture(which btw is pretty much considered spam/trolling at this point now but I’ll be nice about it and let it slide) as many of us already said, Genn is the only worgen in the book, let’s see what you have to say to this repost of mine. I genuinely want to hear what you have to say about these books full of retcons.
