Mag’har blow it right outa the water. Alternative universe or not its valid. Also Blizzard added them to the game so by definition its not lore breaking at all. Its a part of their story.
It was never a reach and as of that book it was canon that they existed.

It was a cash shop item. From time to time it makes your head look like a skull.
But more importantly, the community has been asking for tails for over a decade for worgen. Do we think the devs are seeing our requests, finally, as they do character customization passes during alpha and beta?

We hope but those of us who have loyalty played Worgen for 10+ years are skeptical. We have seen the way Worgen are treated. We see how little Blizzard responds to Worgen posts. We hope but we will not hold our breath.
How many years after the player race updates did Worgen and Goblins have to wait?
I don’t think blizzard listens to its players especially Worgen, Goblins, and Pandaren at all.
We still deserve tail options.

Tails for worgen would be something very welcome with an extra in customizations.
instead of spamming the same post over and over again give us a reason as to why you don’t want worgen to have optional tails
