Arms tanking with a 2h and sweeping strikes is really good. If you have a shaman it’s a great dungeon tanking spec.
Prot sucks. Nobody uses shields except a few Naxx bosses.
People ask for high item levels because they can get them. It’s the dark side of accessibility. There are so many dps applicants group leaders can be really picky. And the interface shows item level right in it.
the sources i linked was gathered on april 30th. aka before prepatch even when nobody had anything to do. if anything they have more engagement on them due to that. but hey that doesnt fit your narrative so you’ll just ignore it.
The point is that people who want no changes are just gonna play the game. There aren’t going to be that many people posting on the forums that they don’t want dual spec.
Regardless, if it wasn’t in TBC it shouldn’t be in TBC classic. If you want to play a more convenience oriented game go play retail. Stop trying to turn Classic into Retail so that you can come and complain about how boring and easy Classic is.
The only thing I’d ever want changed is the removal of convenience aspects that helped to ruin the game. Looking at lfg in WotLK. Already worried they’re gonna use the final patch of WotLK and it’ll be in at start. I’d prefer it never get added at all.
Most of those people quit ages ago. Blizzard said they’d listen to the types of QoL changes people want in TBC Classic, and the majority of people playing Classic want Dual Spec.
TBC was good without dual spec in 2007 and its good now without dual spec, people need to stop whining for changes that don’t belong in TBC, people wanted classic, that’s how it was, have to deal with it.
I’ll just never understand the mentality of getting a game rereleased only to ask for it to be changed. If you didn’t like it before why play it now? People who wanted Classic wanted Classic, not kind of classic.
I don’t get this black/white thinking. As if if you like a game you have zero complaints and if you have a complaint you don’t like it. I had fun playing vanilla, enough fun that I wanted to run through it once more after 15 years. But nothing is perfect. I had complaints about vanilla and complaints about classic, some of the same complaints. I had fun with classic and I’m having fun with BC classic. But it would be more fun for me as a healer if I had a dps spec for questing and other things outside the dungeons.
You can go to your class trainer and respec to shadow then. The point here for everyone is they don’t wanna deal with the travel time and gold sink. It isn’t necessary, it already exists, just not in the most convenient way possible.
I’m convinced at this point people just want to get Classic changed so they can come back later and tell us all about how Classic sucks now and Retail is so much more fun. Classic is fine with no changes, the boost and mount had no place in the game, but its not up to us its up to Blizzard. We can only hope they look at how many people quit and went back to private servers as a lesson learned from changing the game. The same people asking for changes now are not the same people who were asking for Classic servers in the first place.
These are basically the same people who say mythic raiding is too easy and you look at their profile and all they’ve done is lfr. Or the ones saying TBC is trash and too easy because some sweaty tryhards stayed awake for 72 hours to hit 70 and clear content as fast as possible. They have no idea what they are talking about and just want to talk crap about something.
Oh I agree. I do NOT remember ‘world buff meta’ being a thing back when I played in 2006. They were just nice buffs to have that happened rarely. It’s sad that they became literal commodities.
Of course it’s a Shadowlands player posting all of this nonsense. Wanting a game to be 99% as it was with some common sense improvements isn’t hating the game, it’s understanding that nothing is perfect and some things can be improved without negatively impacting the rest of the game.
Do you think the people who wanted spell batching improved to modern standards disliked Vanilla? Almost every single person wanted it changed once they realized how awful 2006 era batching was.
Would love to see proof of this. As has been stated, most people wanting no changes aren’t on the forums. Of course you see a lot of people who agree with you when your in an echo chamber.
For example I have yet to see a single mention of dual spec while actually playing the game. If the vast majority of the community wanted it I’d think I’d have seen it mentioned by now in guild, party, general, trade, lfg, etc. But not a single mention of it. Weird.
Too lazy to change my avatar. I play Classic too buddy.
I have explained why I think it negatively affects the game, and your free to disagree with that.
I’m sure the vast majority of people who were posting on the forums about it wanted it changed yeah. It took me a few minutes to get used to, but once I did it didn’t bother me at all.
I agree, it wasn’t fun at all. But as pointed out it didn’t exist back then to the degree it does now. Its because the gamer mindset has changed since 2004. Its one of the reasons I don’t enjoy retail as much as I used to. The min/max gotta go fast gamer mentality of today. I guess I’m just getting older now, I don’t know. I personally joined a guild that didn’t require world buffs to raid, made it much more enjoyable for me.
