Give us a way to increase ilevel without risking things like other peoples keys

It does suck. It costs gold, time, and even ones sanity while others learn a fight you’ve figured out 20 pulls ago. But you deal with it because eventually you’ll all be doing the next boss.

I am not real fond or experienced at mythic+ and for that reason if I want to do a key I make my own party for it instead.

If they have every single piece of gear they need and/or want from Mythic raiding, then yes, they’re “done” until the next tier. That’s how progression works.

Level to max. Run normals. Run heroics. Run weekly quests. Run LFR. Run mythic dungeons. Run normal raid. Run M+. Run Heroic raid. Run Mythic raid. Keep running to get the gear you need or want. Wait till next tier.

I’m confused by why we need anything more.

If this were actually possible I would be all for it but it doesn’t appear to be. My feral is still hitting things 8 times to die in ~ 385 gear, same as it was 50 ilvl ago.

How about Heroic and Mythic Warfronts where you can actually lose but reward higher level gear if you win but have high ilvl requirements?

and how about heroic and mythic world bosses?

and how about scenarios?

or how about group quests that actually require a group to clear?

Highly casual player here and I think this expansion gives me ample gearing options. Your choices are to rotate characters and do it again or start at the bottom of mythic and work your way up or start raiding. WOW has always had a ilevel cap for casual content and this expansion has been more open about moving past LFR ilevel than past expansions. It is actually similar to wrath where frost badge gear allowed for ilevel upgrades via a daily dungeon run.

For the developers I think this allows them to experiment whether players run LFR and/or normal raiders for gear upgrades or for enjoyment by making lower tier raiding gear upgrades rare.

The other positive outcome has been a decrease in raiders whining on the forums how they are forced to run LFR which is a combination of ilevel outside of LFR and lack of set bonuses.

Run more M+ then…build up your score. Or…start your own groups?

Not sure if serious, but Mythic Warfronts might save that whole line of development. You could, actually, with some tuning, make something entertaining out of it.

The solution is to literally just join a guild. Stop joining cesspool guilds that don’t do anything, and find one that does the content you want. You don’t have to be in the PuG world. That’s a choice you don’t know you’re making.

When people “complain” about things like this they are generally talking about pugs, not actual guilds/friends. I doubt most people have issues wiping with people they know and play with on a regular basis. That’s just progression. Wiping in a pug isn’t a fun experience or rewarding in any way.

Too much free gear makes the difficulties that are accessible feel less rewarding. I agree.

Oh wait, you wanted more free gear…

This is an “oof”

So you can get BiS from Raids/M+/PvP and the occasional weekly quest/titanforge.

But those options don’t suit you because you’ve been spoon-fed 390 gear. I mean why do the work when there should be an easier way right?

Guess blizzard needs to add “daily log-in” progression rewards.

Honestly the fact that gearing outside of raid/dungeon puts you at a good enough gear range to be able to do 10’s is really bad. With the free normal/heroic raid ilvl gear being given out there’s no incentive to go back to lower keystone levels and complete them for score/rewards.
