Give us a way to increase ilevel without risking things like other peoples keys

No thanks. They have trouble already keeping up with balancing and creating content for what they already have. Balancing content for individual specs for every single class every single tier would take development time away from everything else. Obviously you’re predominately a solo player, and yes, you can play solo in this game, but if you’re looking for difficult solo endgame, you’re going to have to look somewhere else. 15 year old system or not, this is how it works. Don’t like it? Then play something else. They can’t cater to every single play style.

There’s literally 2 play styles. Solo and not solo.

Regardless, I’m not pushing strictly solo. Just an alternate means. Is there an echo in here?

Is this some sort of satire im not getting?

High end gear has been raining down during the whole expansion.

I think the problem is less this, and more that trivial means reward gear well into having to risk other people’s keys. There’s no midpoint gear-wise between crotch-popping in the general direction of WQ mobs and a +10, but there’s a hell of a learning curve that gets skipped.

Ideally, WQs would cap out at 355 with maybe a couple designated slots like azerite that go up to high levels to keep an incentive. But there’s no reason you should be getting 400 titanforges from it.

No, just refusal to comprehend. There are enough ways to gear, in fact there are more than there have ever been. If this game’s play style isn’t to your liking, find one that is. The game isn’t going to change just because you don’t care for the meta.

There already is a progressions system outside of raids and M+, it’s the Titan Forge system. If your not going to do raids or harder M+ content I dont understand the need for more progression past the open world rewards.

You’re trying to please those you can’t please. If you do create a parallel to high keys and mythic raiding for solo players, it will have to be hard enough to justify the rewards and people will whine it’s too hard. (See: mage tower). If you give them free 390+ gear then m15 becomes the new m10 and people will still judge experience over ilvl, and back to square one. (See: bfa gearing, Rio).

The crying and unhappiness is from players who would rather whine to the forums instead of follow the path everyone else has followed, as thus are simply not worth catering to. They can use their subs as hostage all they want, the more they get their way, the more they will cry about.

That’s end game brother, the buck stops there. Other than Titanforging, that’s all there is. Btw, no one is complaining about having nothing to do after 415.

Do all the dungeons at +3 level then update your IO profile. Do it again the next day at +5 level. Do it again the NEXT DAY at +7 level. THAT’S how you build an IO score.

But that is the way it should be and always has been. Want better gear, do harder content.

Or there could be other ways to make your character more powerful outside of gear but wtf would I know.

No this is an mmo if you want the best gear you have to do group content, if you cant get into other people’s keys run your own if you want to raid join a guild if you got time to pug an refill the group after every wipe you got time to join a guild. This isnt q single player game if you want that experience play dark souls or something, stop trying to turn this game into something it isnt

My dudes. All I’m saying is that a creative approach from Blizzard to implement an alternative way of advancing to 415 (while maintaining a scaling difficulty) would not only push the business forward for Blizzard but make many players happy. That is all.

None of your lives would change. Everything stays the same for what you do. There is simply an alternate choice for other players.

No one is saying it should be solo content.

No one is saying it should be easy.

No one is saying that Dungeons and Raiding have to be changed as a result.

Everyones happy. We don’t need to get defensive.

They need to make their own keys. If they aren’t willing to put effort into getting gear they don’t deserve, then they don’t want it enough. (They already don’t need it if they don’t want to raid. Mobs scale off of ilvl)

You can increase ilvl without risking other peoples’ keys by pushing your own? Or Raid?

Well honestly, there should be a cap upon how far you can progress if you are unwilling to take part in the higher tiers of PvE or PvP content. If you want solo content with unlimited progression, you should be playing Diablo III and not an MMO.

I think they should stop giving out high level gear from quest rewards and super easy content. Back in the earlier days of wow you would run dungeons for dungeon sets, and raids for tier sets. Should go back to that, or something similar.

I think I must be alone in feeling that mythic plus is intended for organized players (guilds/communities) and not so much for pugs.

Gaming culture has really changed over the years though, it seems like everyone only wants to play with randoms?

I guess I dont understand why people that dont want to do raids or moderate level keys need the same item level as a mythic raider. They want to look fabulous while doing pet battles?

The option is there for anyone to work for. And people that wiped in raids repeatedly while trying to execute the mechanics of a boss fight should have gear that reflects that.

Fact is, there is a reason that LFR is so dumbed down, you cant make something with a queue system that has actual difficulty to it. It would be a car wreck. If you put it in the group builder people dont want to do it. And if you make it solo it wouldnt be at the same difficulty as a mythic raid and therefore doesnt deserve the same gear.

Then those poor entitled raiders will get upset that you can gear like they can…

I agree there should be alternatives to gearing up. I am stuck doing those alternatives too, but there is always a point where you HAVE to do group stuff to get better. Get a guild, get a group of friends willing to help you, but regardless there will always be a gear ceiling.
