Give us a place to solo pvp while waiting for queues plz

Ven mentioned on stream today that private servers at some point had a pvp coliseum where players could go and duel. I never saw it myself but I imagine a huge coliseum with multiple independent arena type rooms. Apparently cooldowns would reset so both have full cds, and their 1v1 duel would be phased to just them (but there could still be observers)
This would be a great addition to the game imo.

Make it a queue system. Boralus duelers guild never took off.

i dont like making it a q system personally, whole point is going somewhere to play while ur waiting for q’s. honestly even if its team based would be awesome too, where it just automatically puts u on one side or the other so its even numbers and u just go around pvping in a massive coliseum till ur q pops.

They created a system for that in BFA and no one used it. I don’t think they will spend any resources making another version of it.

Guild Wars 2 has a cool free-for-all area in the PvP lobby where people go fight and duel.

Just make it so dueling resets CDs while in an uncontested zone, or limit it to Dornogol, or something.

Any number of simple things like that they could do without having to create new systems or add new content.

It’s in Southern STV. Private servers were running vanilla and that coliseum was the only open PvP area.

Just go to one of the PvP zones that has a WQ in it while you wait for your queue. Always lots of people there.

Naw there were also extremely popular tbc and wotlk private servers. There were wotlk private servers where they were basically just the arena tournament realm. The arenas were kind of dead usually on the tbc private servers up until the last week or two of the season, but the wotlk AT servers were bumping.

iirc though, most people would still just duel outside of ironforge, SW or Org (as is tradition)

(Also worth mentioning, the tbc and wotlk private servers I played on were better ran, more stable and had more responsive dev work than the actual official blizzard run classic servers, you had Polish/Czech devs living in their parents basement who were more competent than the people on blizzard’s own payroll, it was kind of a running joke)

If it hadn’t been bound to just server side I feel would have been big

That’s because those systems were on the server only.
If it had been everyone in the whole game could go in to a place it would have been bigger

Yeah, I wanted the title but couldn’t be bothered waiting forever so gave up.

I’m glad there was plenty of people interested on my server at launch, so got mine.

Lucky, yea I suppose a high pop server/faction would have had more of a chance. Was playing Ally which is pretty much dead on this server.

It also didn’t help that it wasn’t advertised at all. I don’t remember if we had the suggested content thing in bfa like we have now, but even something small like that would have helped

Why do you not just go outside stormwind or org to duel?

Dalaran sewers was lit

Just Q for random/epic BGs while ya wait for the heavier pvp to pop. It’s like stretching before a game. Do your stretches in randoms and then ur prepped for the real action. It’s like pvpin while u wait to pvp.

U can also duel at Dorn entrance currently i think. See it pretty often on MG. There are even pillars. But I think randoms would be better, esp for long waits for high mmr values, etc.

and fps training room like in overwatch to sit in would be pretty cool i guess but we kinda have that with training dummies and pvp vendors, you can duel there – its actually the best designed pvp vendor area ever probably

would be cool if it had some more flair like a colosseum ffa tho for sure, like a STV arena pit ring nearby

This is actually good feedback!

Would be awesome to watch and participate in a 1v1 duelers gulag cage fight while in queue!

Good memories, but we don’t talk about fight club. :stuck_out_tongue:
