“ This is for Aiyako. I wanted to do something more “me” and this is about as “me” as it gets because it looks like something I would have made in photoshop in high school.
There is transparency to this one that will show up absolutely nowhere, so send me your email on discord if you want the full size thing in png”
This didn’t turn out ideally, but inspired me to just draw like how I do rather than trying to fit the request too seriously or be more “typical.” https://www.instagram.com/p/CGI_ZlNnv-C/?igshid=1jt61sapzs5ae
This one I enjoyed, but coloring it was a total mess. Ironically, it was sketching the mage here that made me want to stick to being more confident in my line drawing and to display it more prominently.
Sadly, I made this one before I decided to take process photos, it looked GREAT before I skewed it to make it look like light refraction from the ice. https://www.instagram.com/p/CF_hsKlnykV/?igshid=9ll81oljnx5t
This one looked A LOT less flat before I went a bit crazy with the glitter pens. I need to get my moneys worth with those designcuts brushes. I only noticed it after I already finalized it. https://www.instagram.com/p/CGJ_DdLHucm/?igshid=4d5ubs8woayw
This is probably my most celebrated drawing of the set, or ever. Even the guy who made the brush pack I used (Nathan Brown) and Tom Ross (founder of designcuts) congratulated me.
To me it just looks like something I would have made back when I was a teenager, which I like. The character itself (you can see in the process shots included) looks like an old animation cel, which I am particularly proud of. https://www.instagram.com/p/CGOjhExnH5A/?igshid=4rkkbye76fp8
Just about everything to do with this picture I am excited about. Doing just about anything in it was a HUGE confidence boost at just the right time. Sadly, it is probably one of the least appreciated of the set. https://www.instagram.com/p/CFm-sTRleed/?igshid=lxfethfep891

I REALLY just love this one, and it is great. I succeeded (I think) in getting that much closer to my ideal, which is that old role-playing book / old comic / old animated movie look.
I actually finished it earlier yesterday, but it’s close enough to update the thread, right?
I think I need a bit more practice before I can start charging (not that I would charge for this), but I feel I am ALMOST there. Oddly enough, I can sell prints from deviantart since all of most my drawings are at least 8k resolution or so.
My goal is to make my own concept art and comics and book covers.
I can barely talk on the phone without shaking. Whenever I have to talk on the phone for whatever reason I choke up. I am not comfortable talking to random strangers online in a voice chat.
