Playable Eliksni.
How about those big blue people from Northrend? I forget what they’re called. There are some quests where you play one.
vrykul for the alliance and ogres for the horde . . . its a perfect combo.
The hooved guys in Ardenweld.
dryads/keepers of the grove as a new faery magic class or as a new druid shapeshift-spec
I mean, Ogres has been the obvious choice for a long time. (Imagine the fun if we got 2 headed ogres though with 1 player controlling the body, and the other the abilities ala Cho’gall in HotS.)
Alliance need some kind of Nelf-Worgen. There’s even lore to support their existence.
halflings, taller than gnomes/dwarves/goblins/vulperas, but shorter than most other races. more slender than shorter races, furry barefeet. nature classes only + rogue, so druids/shaman/hunters/rogues.
Ascended Kyrian
Unbroken Arakoa
Naga that can shapeshift into a sea-elven form
Night Fae Faeries
Krokul Broken
(My own idea for a race)
Ered’ari (Eredun for “Burning Beings”)
Once a sect of the Illidari, The Ered’ari were a combination of Elves and Broken that served under the command of Lord Illidan himself. However due to an ill-fated battle with a powerful pitlord, the Ered’ari were cursed to be consumed by the own inner-demons, both literal and figuratively.
After Killing the pitlord, the agonized Ered’ari fled the scene, naturally expecting their fellow demon hunters to aid in lifting their deforming-curse… though when Illidan first saw the demonic forms of his former soldiers, he exiled them, believing them to be too far to save.
Abandoned by their former-family and forbidden to ever return, this new breed of mild-minded demons had no choice but to build a new home for themselves within the hidden caverns of outlands mountains. It was there that they survived and thrived, eventually giving way to whole new generations, along with developing their own culture. They’ve even developed their own language that seems to consist of a combination of Nethrazim, Darnassian, and Eredun.
(not sure on the name, it feels too close to “eredar”. But it’s canonically Eredun for “burning beings”, so im hesitant to change it too lol. idk
I want Fae, not the anime riddled, googly eyed Ardenweald fae either.
I want real fae with real wings that don’t disappear when they land. They are born of Wild Gods and mortals. There can be dark fae and light fae depending upon the players choice of faction (or true neutral!). I want them to have real wing animations and not the cheesey Kyrian wing animations. I want them to be able to use their wings as weapons to knock back enemies, slash, block, etc.
Oh to be able to fly across a BG raining fel fire down from the sky…
I didn’t really think I would care for more allied races, but this would be kind of neat.
Let’s make it bit more fair and give the Sethraks to the Alliance just so my fellow Horde-players know how awful the bias is. I’ll continue your list:
Jinyu - Hozen
Sethrak - Gilgoblin
Vrykul - Leaper Gnomes
Furbolg - Saberon
Catgirls.
Not until they give worgen tails!
Ogres
- 1 and 2 head options.
- Very large character model. So big they carry their mount rather than riding it, like the Cho’Gal model in HoTS.
- Blood lust racial like in WC2. They get their own Blood Lust separate from the normal effects that cause sated. They don’t have any other racials.
Those ‘plant guys from Draenor’ were really great. They remind me of the sylvari from Guild Wars 2. A gorgeous race- beautiful but not elves, and with lots of unique customization’s. No reason that WOW could not have more forms of them two- maybe even a gnome sized version?
Fairies (Alliance)- look of elves, height of gnomes, shape of draenei, little damaged wings that heal and grow until at level 30 and then can be used to fly!
I don’t have a pitch, I just want them!!!
Oh, and High Elves for the Alliance of course !
I have seen a lot of posts asking for Ogres. I hope you guys do get them.
I really am curious about how many people would actually play them. Armor will be stretched oddly, unless they really step up their game. And the Ally ‘big race’ is not popular.
Red orcs are beast.
Give me my Fel Orcs!
Val’kyr
Leader: Danica, Chosen of Odyn
Freed from the corrupt influence of Helya and Zovaal, these noble winged messengers bridge the gap between the mortal races and the selfless Kyrian of the Shadowlands.
Racial abilities:
Glide when jumping
Chance to deal additional holy damage or healing on all spells and abilities
Shadow resistance
In-combat resurrection
Racial mount: summon ethereal wings for self propelled flight
Customize your val’kyr with a range of options allowing you to play your character as a Kyrian or Vrykul as well.
