The mod note in this post has me rolling
Not a women myself, but i do know of 2 who really wanted a boob slider to be part of the updated customization. My gf and a friend of hers. But anyone that has even an inkling of knowledge of how the WoW player models work, knows that sliders of any kind will never happend.
But a muscle “slider” could be a thing. It could be a simple normal map overlayed on top of the skin texture. Blizzard would have to redo every skin texture for every race for this to work. But it could be done. Assuming the game supports normal maps. Which i have seen no evidence of.
Sliders would require a lot of back-end changes to the models and how they function. They’d be nice to have, but it would require a LOT of work to put them in.
Also, as long as WoW is rated T there will never be ‘boob sliders’.
I personally don’t want to see characters with triple Z boobs
Bodyslide is an amazing tool really. Took that source slider with not much there and went above and beyond the call of duty for flexibility.
Racemenu or looksmenu (fallout 4) for face work also are very impressive.
Body sliders wouldn’t make the game rated M any more so than Rouge having big breasts in a Sonic game would make it M.
A bust slider does not make something into DoA or the like.
ikr, double D is enough
Not necessarily. They’d just have to make different body types with preset breasts. Sort of like how humans now have a “narrow-normal-wide” face slider, which isn’t really a slider like in a game like BDO as it is shifting between three separate models.
Mod said nah.
Big rip bro.
The developers do set limitations though so you can definitely prevent abuse of slider generators.
Not sure if anyone said or not, don’t care: don’t change Pandaren boobs, they are perfect.
Uhh yeah, necessarily.
Because currently the models are fairly static. You can change the face shapes, but it’s a shift from one configuration of polygons to another, with textures designed for that particular shape.
If you introduce sliders, you have to change how the model itself behaves, because now it’s not just a shift from one configuration of polygons to another, it’s all the variations between point A and point B. You also need to factor in armour design and how they are designed for one bodyshape for each race.
Introducing sliders would mean they’d have to tweak all of those too, to make sure there isn’t any clipping and that the model doesn’t lose texture quality when it is stretched etc.
There’s a reason why, when you choose to use bodyslide in Skyrim or Fallout 4, you have to rebuild the armour to fit the body type you’re using.
Does it really matter anything can cause a nervous breakdown for some people now a days.
I’m curious, how do you know this? Is it conjecture, or do you have experience working on Blizzard’s models?
They already don’t do this though.
Actually bone size scales, which scales mesh, which scales any skin mesh has on… it’s not as hard as you might think. But, I’mma girl, and we have limited knowledge of animation.
And they didn’t even do this for the KT. Many legacy armourss look bad on them. Their heritage is nice on them. But…its probably the only armour meshed for the KT body. rest…hit and miss as the armour mesh goes “and…I am done. enjoy the stretch and fade of the textures applied.”
They can be more perfect.
Only way is to be uncovered. This would send Azeroth spinning though… and folks* thought Cata was bad…
I mean, a world ended by fluffy boobs seems better than being eaten by a sky-hole into the literal land of the dead.
So, given our current situation…
I vow to do my part
