So you get to go on about community and connectivity being a staple of Classic, while being dismissive of things that would interfere with that?

I think you and your friends should have the option to play in the same server layer until they merge them.
But is that what the majority of players will do? Do the majority of players know this?
Like I said, the only people I want to hear from are the people who are playing beta as itâs suppose to be played. It sounds like people are over exaggerating an issue that is not going to reflect or be exploited from the majority of players.
Well, that could potentially be throttled if one of us catches a debuff for apparently layer hopping.
âSorry, after you logged out to mail your main some mats, you were arbitrarily assigned a new layer upon relogging. Canât group with friends/guildies for the next 20 mins.â
I donât know (no one does). But I have played many MMOs and people have a knack for exploiting whatever system they are presented.
Or they could just lock people into the layer they signed up at creation (so guilds can all play together) until they merge them after the first 2 weeks or so.
And it led to a lot of ghost town servers with a few super popular ones. As usual, this reality is ignored. Do you consider that to be an acceptable eventuality?
Layering isnât about a smooth launch. Itâs being implemented to hopefully keep server populations healthy and stable in the long run.
thatâs a great idea. A simple way to stop exploits.
