You’re really getting the best of both words, that’s enough time to finish all the content in 8.1

I’ve been playing for ten years never received any type of suspension in game for anything. I’ve had a ban on the forums for saying to someone who called someone else a nooblet that i could call them a nooblet too, a stupid reason, but it was a two day ban. Sometimes you say the wrong thing on the forums and you get a ban. It’s a lot different than in the game.
The point of Real ID was to give “real” consequences to forum actions. Exactly what the OP described.
First, any attempt to do this would require massive changes, announced clearly and well ahead of time. What if someone bought a six month sub before you changed the rules, and then gets banned? Congratulations, Blizzard is about to get it’s rear end sued off.
Denial of service on the basis of forum activity is ridiculous, and opens up a lot of legal questions that are more complex and less wholesome. And Blizzard gets nothing for it. This place already only exists to pigeonhole discussions they don’t like.
Why would they get sued? Use of the forums is subject to the EULA and T&C, being suspended as a violation of such conditions would be enough to throw out any silly lawsuits that some troll might come up with.
loud, obnoxious and animated?
The rules are clearly defined. Redefining the rules to add a cessation of paid services in the middle of a pre paid service term is a no-no. I know you think it’s easy. It’s not. Actually READ the EULA for once.
Thank you for letting us/them know where to start by your thread.
Not all suspended…are trolls. The new reporting system is very efficient. I was suspended for a loosely sexual comment.
As to this idea…yeah. the funny story from this. I got my suspended notification on trip away from home in a hotel with crappy internet. So I just let it slide.
I was already unable to play the game since it was just bad. Like bad Chinese movie sound dubbed with really bad fight choreography.
tab fire tab fire tab fire tab fire on the 120 hunter in an older part of the game…and several seconds later the targets would drop dead bad.
Are you being sarcastic? It’s as efficient as bottom trawling along the sea floor and gobbling everything in sight.
I did. Did you? Pay attention to the highlighted parts:

- Alterations.
Alterations to the Agreement.
Blizzard’s Rights. Blizzard may create updated versions of this Agreement (each a “New Agreement”) as its business and the law evolve.
New Agreements. This Agreement will terminate immediately upon the introduction of a New Agreement. New Agreements will not be applied retroactively. You will be given an opportunity to review the New Agreement before choosing to accept or reject its terms.
Acceptance. If you accept the New Agreement, and if the Account registered to you remains in good standing, you will be able to continue using the Platform and Account(s), subject to the terms of the New Agreement.
Rejection. If you decline to accept the New Agreement, or if you cannot comply with the terms of the New Agreement, you will no longer be permitted to use the Platform or Account(s).
Alterations to the Platform. Blizzard may change, modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Platform or Accounts at any time, including removing items, or revising the effectiveness of items in an effort to balance a Game. Blizzard may also impose limits on certain features or restrict your access to parts or all of the Platform or Accounts without notice or liability.
Then, it wraps up nicely with:
Term and Termination.
- Term. This Agreement is effective upon your creation of an Account, and shall remain in effect until it is terminated or superseded by a New Agreement, or, if neither of the foregoing events occur, as long as you continue using the Platform. In the event that Blizzard chooses to cease providing the Platform, or license to a third party the right to provide the Platform, Blizzard shall provide you with no less than three (3) months prior notice. Neither the Platform nor Blizzard’s agreement to provide access to the Platform shall be considered a rental or lease of time on the capacity of Blizzard’s servers or other technology.
- Termination
- You are entitled to terminate this Agreement at any time by notifying Blizzard by email at support@blizzard.com.
- Blizzard reserves the right to terminate this Agreement at any time for any reason, or for no reason, with or without notice to you. For purposes of explanation and not limitation, most Account suspensions and terminations are the result of violations of this Agreement. In case of minor violations of these rules, Blizzard may provide you with a prior warning and/or suspend your use of the Account due to your non-compliance prior to terminating the Agreement or modifying or deleting an Account.
- In the event of a termination of this Agreement, any right you may have had to any pre-purchased Game access or virtual goods, such as digital cards, currency, weapons, armor, wearable items, skins, sprays, pets, mounts, etc., are forfeit, and you agree and acknowledge that you are not entitled to any refund for any amounts which were pre-paid on your Account prior to any termination of this Agreement. In addition, you will not be able to use the Platform.
I am not saying it is right, I am saying that if blizz decided to implement such changes, there would be no legal consequence. Not even a refund:
You agree to pay all fees and applicable taxes incurred by you or anyone using your Account. If you choose a recurring subscription for a Game, you acknowledge that payments will be processed automatically (e.g., debited from your Blizzard Balance or charged to your credit card) until you cancel the subscription or the Account. Blizzard may revise the pricing for the goods and services offered through the Platform at any time. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT BLIZZARD IS NOT REQUIRED TO REFUND AMOUNTS YOU PAY TO BLIZZARD FOR USE OF THE PLATFORM, OR FOR DIGITAL PURCHASES MADE THROUGH THE PLATFORM, FOR ANY REASON.
It’s the cute of bad ideas?
8 suspensions in 7 months? I have like 3 and the last one was a 30 day one, don’t they keep upping the suspensions until you get perma banned?
Also correct on the in game stuff to a degree, players like me get banned on the forum for saying someting that may offend someone, like what happened with my last suspension, Blizzard said my title could be seen to be offensive.
Says the guaranteed first victim of the new system pretty much entirely out of spite.
Not true. I’ve never been banned in-game, except for spamming an emote back in 2006 during TBC.
I’ve been banned, including permanently on the old forums, numerous times. One does not equate the other, and they shouldn’t.
Good point. Been a while since I’ve seen it. You know what? Go for it. It’ll still result in a lawsuit, probably going to the Supreme Court. EULAs, being a contract signed after the sale is completed, have only been looked at once or twice, and never reached the Supreme Court level here. There are clear violations of contract law with some of them, and the EU already rejected them, IIRC. I’d love to see them get ripped to shreds, which I’m pretty sure would happen if something like this occurred.

That’s what I thought too, but they’re often for different reasons.
Even better; let’s ban them and three generations of their family. We could even throw in a firing squad to make sure those fee-fees don’t get hurt again.
People get suspended from the forums for the silliest reasons so no.
