He gave Doomhammer to the Enhancement Shaman back in Legion (as their Artifact Weapon), and I can’t see them giving it back!

The new writing has been absolutely abysmal with Dragonflight only being better than shadowlands because the writing only ruined Dragonflight not huge swaths of Warcraft history.
The “old guard” characters need to be resurrected with the swiftness so we can actually have an engaging story again which we haven’t had since Legion/first patch of BfA
We really need a Classic+ for you guys.

I guess - it’s been pretty universally accepted in all the circles I’ve seen - most of which I’m not a part of - that the story was just as bad in Dragonflight as Shadowlands. I keep hearing Dragonflight just did all the gameplay so well and since only a small minority of the playerbase even follows the story the expansion has been mostly well received.
Honestly I don’t think Thrall would want it back at this point, even if it was offered. Personally I’d rather see a story quest chain where he forges a new hammer.

The biggest downside of Legion was that it wiped a few really cool lore weapons completely off the map because of its ending.
No more Ashbringer, no more Scythe of Elune, no more Doomhammer. These are iconic weapons that have existed since Classic era and even before that, but now they’re powerless and that kinda feels lame.

Didn’t you guys realized that he no longer be shaman anymore cuz he cheated in duel against Garrosh in WoD? I am not saying he isn’t worth to wield it anymore. It just that Doomhammer has been abandoned him as did the element spirits.
Just write “classic+” on a cardboard box and tell people they need to grind for 1,000 more hours to unlock access to it, like Naxxramas.
