This is a really bad comparison. Priest and Paladins both worship the light. This has been the case in pretty much all fantasy lore. In WoW Paladin’s “holy tree” is nothing more than Blizzard’s version of a D&D Cleric.
Priest and Paladins are no more a like than Shaman and Monks other than having healing specs.
