That was addressed, you did not read the whole thread. On topic, as a player with a resto Druid main I totally agree that every class should have access to a ranged reliable brez. Whether a spell or engineering consumable does not matter.
Every healer can learn engineering.
So is it cool then for resto shamans to be able to ankh (and have an ankh talent to do a free brez when used) and have a castable brez?
Slippery slope pal. The fact we have a 4sec brez engi toy is far enough we should go. People trying to make this game go full “no child left behind” where everyone can do everything and be a winner
Hey, I won’t argue with you. You don’t want a reliable brez for your class - fine. Just makes it easier for me when I want to pug (which to be honest is almost never).
that’s a good point
Would be great if they increase the range of the engine bres even to 15-20 yards
I always wondered if they should remove druid ooc mass res instead. That way that limits stealth skips but they have combat res instead. Kinda like back in the old days druid had no ooc res
I just want reasons to weigh having something unique like a DPS druid in my group (boomkin or feral, w/e) or another b-rezabble class because I am not playing a resto druid. Engineering toy fixes the fact you can’t brez with certain comps but gives some drawbacks with its range, longer cast time, and chance to rock your world [aka do a crap ton of damage to yourself in a likely critical situation]. I’m already pissed off about stuff like Vitality Conduit exists.
I have to agree with the OP. Brez should be a healer only thing like Dispelling Magic.
LETS GOOOO
No thank you, I don’t think homogenisation is the way.
Classes that have Brez are valued for having them and should remain that way.
Nah , then the demand will just increase and result in all classes playing the same .
But muh class identity.
People that say that unsarcastically instantly invalidate their entire argument.
MoP had the best class design bar none and all of the classes had tools to deal with most situations in their own interesting ways.
Bres being on multiple healers, however was not one of the things shared if I remember correctly.
Imo they should increase the range of the engineering toy to 5 yards. That’d solve some of the issues folks seem to have (not being able to stand in bad to res the person being the main example I’ve seen) without really changing a whole lot.
There is a lot of things not fair.
I’d love to just teleport anywhere I want without using flight paths. I’d love to glide without the need to be a demonhunter, amongst other things. None of it’s fair. Don’t even get me started on other things that are not fair about this game.
Stop. Just stop.
I think it’s a good idea too, it’s a very important group utility, and the amount of Brezes usable by the group is limited anyway.
For those who use the “homogenization” argument, ok then let’s remove regular rez from Druids, this is how it used to be, they had Brez but no normal rez.
Alternatively just make the Engi Brez a bit better, 4s cast time and chance of failing is punishing enough no need to make it melee range too, at least a short 15-20 yd range would do it imo.
Don’t want to derail this conversation. But just FYI.
If you’re in this thread, and you are opposed to OP’s idea…
Then you should also be opposed to the idea of easily switching covenants.
Agree with this, the druid meta for m+ is a bit ridiculous. If all healers had this the meta would be far more varied
eff no. You start doing this, next thing you know Hunters and Mages will have Bloodlust. Absolutely not.
exactly, druids even after vender, essences that balance HPS out put a bit in m+ , are still more desired, and mainly because of their battle rez ability and soothe.
Druids can’t be kings of m+ forever. We need more healers in m+
I second that idea! Battle rezz is too important to be restricted to so few classes as it is. If your group dont have a battle rezz, you just got stranded with the charges and it can be a decisive factor in timing a key or killing a boss.
Yes, you can have a nerfed version with enginnering, but i dont think it is fair to tie such an important and game changing skill to a profession. We’ve gone a long way since those times of active/passive combat habilities requiring a certain profession and druids do have more than enough utility to not be bothered in the slightest by this.
Also, no one complained when Hunters of all classes had acess to battle ress with their pets, funny why it is a problem now to ask for other healers.
