Yep but the cool thing is once you know you can never get trust level 3, there is no real power to bans.
A couple of day punt that forces you to stop wasting time here?
I dont think its that big of a deal, especially as much as I have seen so many regulars on here talking about their bans. A LOT of people are not going to get level 3. Well people who actually use the forums to post.
In todayâs world, saying anything at all is going to upset someone.
I got a couple day suspension for calling someone who was being a jerk a âRichardâ once like 3 years ago so Iâm ineligible forever unless they wiped our records with the new forums. Wheeee.
As if such a âhorribleâ act means I would start posting sexual gifs all over or something.
Honestly lesser offenses like that need to expire after a certain length of time or something. I get not being made something like an MvP with stuff in the record, but weâre talking regular forum usage here thatâs restricted for something so silly.
Edit: If it did in fact reset with the new forums, cool, although I still think that last bit needs to be a thing.
Iâd imagine they did. I had a ban on the original forums (Iâm not going into details but, in retrospect, I definitely deserved it) that vanished when they moved on from them.
That one will definitely restrict it, but I think âconfirmed by a moderatorâ probably means âyeah they deserved to be flaggedâ and not âyeah thats a unique person flagging themâ.
I guarantee a lot of stuff gets flagged by salty people that isnât really âvalidâ. Itâs also possible that theyâd ignore technically valid flags that are clearly just petty regardless, but who knows there. Might depend on the individual moderatorâs discretion at that point.
Doesnât matter if the forums even existed or not. If you visited within 50 of the past 100 days on the forums, it satisfies the requirement. Even if the forums were up for only 50 days. It basically counts the days you have visited the forums that were within the last 100 days.
I think this is going to be a breaker for most people, given how trigger happy a lot of people are over anything they disagree with
Not true⊠Here are the 3 bullet points that mention 100 days:
Must have visited at least 50% of last 100 days - Visiting 100% of the last 50 days meets this requirement.
Of topics created in the last 100 days, must have viewed 500 topics - If 500 topics are created in the last 7 days and I visit every single one of them, this qualifies
Of posts created in the last 100 days, must have read 20,000 posts (both starting posts and replies) - If 20k posts were generated in the past 7 days, I can read all 20k of them and qualify
So of the 3 bullet points that mention 100 days, the most restricted one is the first point, and it can be qualified in 50 days. The other 2 are variable and depend on content generated. Could theoretically be completed in 1 day if the content is there to consume.
Iâm inclined to side with Chetal over this. The part that moderators are confirming isnât that you got flagged but that you should have been flagged for whatever it was that got you reported.
I donât know if slapped is the right way to put it but I agree itâs stupid.
Thatâs odd. I havenât had any issues with that. I wonder why thatâs happening to some but not others.
