Meh an ending where groups of people have to decide to stop existing for there to be peace sucks
Except the Forsaken and worgens were not suppose to exist. Like maybe WoW will end with both worgens and forsaken cured of their afflictions. Sounds like that would canonically be a good thing for people.(either bring the forsaken back to true life or allow them to peacefully go into the Shadowlands and be treated to an afterlife that would be better then their current state of undeath)
Doesn’t matter, they do now, and they have a right to exist as they want to exist whether others believe them being wiped out would be good or not
I am not suggesting we should wipe them out. But I dont think new ones should be made. Especially if we ever deal with whatever final conflict Warcraft seems to want to race toward and finally bring the mythical peaceful age everyone seem intent on fighting for.
Before the Storm is still my go to ending for them. Let them live their second life but decide yeah, it doesnt need to continue as a “race”.
That is wiping them out plain and simple, a peace that comes at the cost of the forsaken is not tenable to them, Its like saying “hey in order for peace we need to stop this other group from having kids” and expecting them to just agree to die out
Forsaken will exist for as long as the game is running.
Hey Im totally fine with this… FF14 did it with Endwalker and D2 Last Shape… However they really need to do it carefully as from what I experience and are playing a lot of people simply stop playing because it actually was an true ending and in a real positive note… but it felt as you move forward like after that ending it din’t matter, almost like putting you sword or gun down to retire or take a long break… in FF14 the new expansion Dawntrail feels like I’m on vacation and letting others (the new NPCs) do their thing in the story while helping them achieving it. D2 “episodes” after fighting “The Witness” felt like side quest and tying up loose ends.
SO if in Last Titan we are getting that ending you mention, I do hope there is a good plan to move forward if WoW continues… specially if they intend to move to WoW2 or anything related to WoW as some people will feel like that’s their time to retire or take a long break like it happened to these other games. (IMO)
BTW Zerde who is your main? How do you RP I am curious… as I do try to picture you in WoW… I sure would pay to see an RP game where you are role playing this Alliance Hero Patriot with someone Character like Bene, Alynsa, Giru and others have portrayed them to be! Oh the funny banter or insults as you fight armies of monsters would be so pick comedy IMO!
WoW actually needs to lean MORE into its warhammer roots and just lean into the fact that Azeroth and the cosmos in general is a hellscape to live in
Peace in a game built on war and mass murder is soo boring
Well I can tell you from my own experience and the friends irl I play with (can’t speak for all) that even as I played ff14 and D2 new expansion these stories of “relative” peace where the “threats” are Nation level at best… are not that interesting. I stop playing FF14 entirely…
D2 pick up their story with the Hive who are probably the most interesting villains in their whole franchise has me hook for now… not sure when we put a permanent end to them if I will continue playing D2 honestly. Maybe if they add a new Darkness power… and even then I have to think about it and what is the content… if it’s worth paying for.
Peace in a game means Players go to other places to have fun or go outside and touch grass IMO! lololol
Or, here’s an idea, the Northern EK could be a Halloween funland for all eternity.
How many generic Micky Mouse ahh castles do we need, exactly? The Forsaken have very rarely ventured outside their borders unless to aid Horde allies. Or selflessly help save the Sin’Dorei from Scourge remnants.
They coexist just fine with Light worshipping humans. Hearthglenn has been on their border for a decade and you’re even sent up to go check on them during the break in the Battle For Andorhal.
And I’m not seeing a need for all out war against Gilneas. The Forsaken were strong armed into that conflict to begin with. Though I do think it’d be neat to have a BG or EBG with the Defilers and Bloodfang warring over the Fenris Isles.
Maybe revisit that Strand of the Ancients idea but have it be three total rounds with two phases. The initial beachead invasion then the siege of the fortress. With either side being either O or D and not being that absurd thing where D had to win twice. 2/3 wins.
I prefer the darker blue and gold colors during Cata.
Worgen were done so dirty with their heritage set and reclamation quest. Blizz hates wrogen imo. They could such cool stuff with the worgen
