You know, it’d be really cool if the gilgoblins had options for dorsal fins too. Imagine if they had a special swim animation where they have a shark fin on their back, and their body sways as they swim like a shark. So therefore they look like a shark as they go toward you…
…and might as well be one, really. "For death awaits you all with nasty, big, pointy teeth .

Something like this perhaps? I love that idea. I kind of picture their “bear form” looking something like this if they can end up being druids.
HAH I can post an image now for you.
Yeah they could have a fin like that on their back, though I imagine wouldn’t be mutated that badly. Though a bear form like that would be fitting, yeah. And the cat form can be those cat mounts coming out in the next patch. Aquatic form, gee, that won’t be hard. Flight form, a mana ray (or something)? One of those new rays coming out could work.

Yes. The face also. Plus I kind of picture Gilgoblin forms being rather smaller than many druid forms.

I’ll eventually get around to getting trust level 3 for this character. Just to lazy right now to upload images as videos.

A Goblin of culture I see.
Tbh it’s the only episode I’ve watched. I heard there were fishies.
That’s a shame, it’s a fantastic series with an absurdly creative premise.
Shame they canceled it and they had to rush the ending with the remaining 13 episodes they had, but they did a decent job given that unlike a certain other show.
I agree. I think if they add in any aquatic race, they should make some really neat swimming animations. Even if they don’t get a unique dance, perhaps they could get the swim.
Now, if they DID get a unique dance, hmm… Does “Under the Sea” have a particular dance?

Ya know it reminds me. I need should probably rewatch the little mermaid so I can more easily spot some of these Nazjatar Easter eggs. I already found one. There is a quest called"Poor unfortunate Souls".

Seeing that Sand Dollar line made me think, do they trade normal currency or do they do what Murlocs do in trading clams? If you are wondering what I am talking about then let me inform you, every Murloc mob that can be killed in game can drop clams which I think a quest in Northrend showed to be their form of currency.

Maybe the ‘I’m on a Boat’ dance.
…Was there a dance in that music video?

There was something that came to my attention recently which has me asking a lot of questions. So I took a look at the unofficial timeline here.
According to this, Cata took place about 5-6 years ago. I have heard by people that said that Gilgoblins were created in cata. We know they were created by Hobart Grapplehammer, but when I am not exactly sure. However here is the thing. If Cata really did take place 5-6 years ago then that would be Gilgoblins are about 5-6 years old. Something about this doesn’t quite add up. I have a feeling there is something we don’t know yet. Here is my suspicions:
-
Perhaps Gilgoblins were created at least 40 years before cata. Hobart could be pretty old. Maybe even in his 70s. Hard to say for sure.
-
These Gilblins/kelfins have different origins. Perhaps its possible that Hobart Grapplehammer created a separate group of Gilblins using existing Gilblin DNA. However even if he did this, it has also been found that those Gilgoblins have gotten loose and were propagating.
-
A possible plot whole or something blizzard may retcon in the future. I’d rather than not go this route and try to make sense of it.
-
Perhaps what Hobart did also had an effect on the aging rate of gilblins making them grow faster.
This just makes me even more excited and curious to see how the storyline pans out for Gilgoblins when Nazjatar is released. I am really curious to see how Hobart interacts with them and their origins story and in general how the horde interacts with them.
