Gilded Brutosaur means that paying more gives you a better game

i’m trying to think of a single item that can only be purchased while in a BG and coming up empty.

name a mount that you think provides an advantage.

What’s more, we normally have a warlock so the person can hearth to Dornogal, buy their stuff, then get summoned.

Or, even easier, slap down a mobile guild bank.

If you’re broke just say it

If you think about it with any considerable intellectual capacity, paying $90 of solid currency, which itself is a needless complication, for something that in and of itself doesn’t really physically exist is rather trivial and a non-issue when compared to the dire reality that some poor kid or lady in Africa or even here in the US might starve depending on the whim and economic distribution of the upper government/patriarchy or ruling class.

Just sober logical thoughts… now please NEVER let me be this lucid again… first world problems am I rite?

Thanks for letting me know! Now I’m going to have to collect aluminum cans around my neighborhood to scratch up the $90, I can’t wait to get all the gear and achieves.

Mal likes to show up late to the party with the spicy takes.

Dude, I am winning SO hard now that I don’t have to take 15 seconds to port to a major city. This mount just gave me all BiS gear, AOTC, and full clears. Top ranked in PvP too. All thanks to this mount.

Cool side bonus of having a deep understand of reality is nobody knows WTF you’re talking about!

For many times more (gold cap) than the new one.

No you can’t.

Yep, my Brutosaur killed three raid bosses and carried me through a +12 dungeon!

When you have money, you can just pay for people to carry you. There’s an entire industry based on this transactional relationship.

So yes, it’s pay-to-win.

Pay to skip is a more accurate term.

It’s not pay to win

It offers no increase in player power, no increased access to gear, and no ability to further your power progression.

It simply provides faster and more constant AH access.

The only people this is “pay to win” for are AH goblins

But you’re not skipping anything. You’re getting unfettered access to raids and the best gear available.

You’re skipping the wipes leading up to putting the raid on farm. You still have to put some effort, albeit minimal, to get said gear.

If you can put in money into the game and get the best gear available, it’s pay-to-win. Not sure why we’re trying to pull at strings to discern the minor differences.

Word games, I know, but we could debate whether that’s you clearing the content or just paying others to clear it for you. At the end of the day, it’s always iffy comparing yourself to others because only they know how hard it was for them to earn those achievements. How old is their PC? What kind of team did they have? What kind of real life distractions? Thats why I find it more satisfying to compete against myself. How did I play today compared to yesterday? Compared to last season? And of course: am I still having fun?

My definition of pay to win is buy the best gear straight from the store. If all you’re doing is paying other people to drag you through the raid in the hopes of getting a shiny you’re not really winning anything.

If the point of the game is to clear bosses and get gear (and rest assured, that is the point of the game), then yes, you are winning. It’s a more roundabout way of winning, but the end result between getting your BIS in a raid and getting your BIS directly from the storefront is the exact same.
