I was gifted Shadowlands but already have the game pre ordered, can i switch it to something else or get credit for it?
No, I’m afraid we don’t really have a way to do that. You can contact the person who gifted the item, we can work on providing a refund.

Would i be able to refund my pre order then just use that one?
Since the game isn’t released yet, there shouldn’t be an issue with that.
Only if you received the version with the level boost and you used it can I see a problem. Unless there is an issue with the refund itself the entire process should be completely automated at this point.
