So there seems to be an issue that if you faction transfer after doing the quest chain and having the gift cleansed. If you have completed the quest chain/cleanse, then you later faction transfered, it still has you flagged to have the gift.
I was wondering if it is a simple issue with just needing something reset on my character(Deint Area 52 Blood Elf DH formally alliance on Stormrage server) so that I can talk to Nailok and have it recleansed?
Well theres 2 options here both are valid you can open a stuck on quest ticket A gm can probably get rid of it if the quest to remove it isnt available I dont think a UI reset is apropriate. I would also post in the bug forums since this sounds like a bug.
I put in a bug report in the bug forums as well. I will try the ticket thing now since I had not thought about trying that before, thank you.
There is a known issue with the Gift, that it can come back after a Faction Change.
Submitting a ticket is the right way to go. A Game Master should be able to help clear it for you. You can use the category: “Stuck on Quest” if you haven’t already.
