Blizzard, can you plz stop making niche fights? People are so bad at running orbs. :frowning:

Don’t pug it and do it with a guild/Have people who have done it?

I feel that’s the opposite direction I’d prefer. I really enjoy memorable new mechanic style fights.

It’s really easy we even beat it with out using the cheese from warlock portals. Running orbs is awesome as a monk, warriors are also great at it.

It’s a little difficult with mechanics that require voice chat, so our guild makes sure that people who can speak on chat are the ones who pick up the football first, state where they can throw the ball to, and the non-voice folks bring it in for the touchdown.

It’s fine for organized raiding, it seems a little strange for LFR where from what I’ve heard it’s entirely luck based whether your group gets a few people who are willing and able to take care of it, or flails otherwise.

Ghuun in a random pug can be a :poop: show, we’ve had a big pug force and had to drop it down to just guildies to beat it before I know all about it.

That’s a player problem. Not a design problem. You literally pick up the orb and then run and avoid icky stuff on the floor. If people can’t figure that out then the raiding community is lost.

If running orbs for Ghuun is too much for your group you should find a new group lol. If you’re doing it in LFR, stop doing LFR it’s cancer lol.

I can solo run orbs

It is not really just about the orb running. It is the fight as a whole. My guild got so tired of trying we simply quit and moved onto mythic instead. I have pugged it, with over 150 deaths, no clue many resets and the best I have got was 284k Hp left… sadly we did not down it.
My fear is this will be the only AOTC I will not get in this game. Yes it is a player issue… yet… many are now pugging for the same reason I am… grats to those who have killed it, have it on farm, get it down weekly…
To those of us that spend far to many hours, this just sucks. It is a horrible boss. Yet the 1st 2 on mythic level are easier… right there is telling you something is wrong…

People will eventually learn to run orbs… Learning is part of the game!

It’s PROBably my least favorite fight of the raid . . . . but it is what it is.

DPS fights can be fun. I’d like a straight dps fight every week where there isn’t some mechanic that is going to cause someone to have to run out or quit dpsing because of RNG.

I like the mechanics fights too but maybe just one fight where the dps can have a fair measure against each other. Mother is probably as close to that as we have in Uldir.

Funnily enough our raid leader encouraged us to go practice in lfr, I thought no way.

Hate to tell you OP but each raid tier only increases in mechanics usually.

I think the issue with the fight is that it sucks for small groups. in those low 10-12 person raids you might not always have a lot of options for the best runners, some classes suck at mobility or cannot damage the things fast enough to make space to get through.

I run orbs most of the time. First time me and priest did every one in lfr, I learned in the fly but helped I was a monk. I did it on alliance also. The guy on my side insisted on standing side by side and passing the orb instead of throwing it ahead. Then the second phase of orb running he stayed down to dps.

LFR isn’t bad because there basically isn’t a cooldown on orbs, but the rest of the orb mechanic is the same, so you can practice running orbs multiple times a pull.

I prefer fights that need coordination and present a challenge. If it’s easily puggable it’s a bad raid.
