So, following league lore is about as easy as following WoW lore. It’s growing but extensive, and while it does have retcons, they’re “generally” not as controversial as WoW’s.
If you’re too lazy to read all of that (like me), you can watch this guy
Who is LoL’s version of Nobbel. Whether that’s good or bad is up to you.
Honestly, I mostly just remember he was a marine biologist before going to Blizzard, than any specific thing he did at Blizzard. Because that’s a heck of a career change.
I will say that after checking out a few of the character bios on their website that the writers really like teasing things out. Just about every characters story ends on some kind of “precipice moment” where it feels like it could spin off in any different direction. While the actual games Riot makes means they never have to follow up on it. Until now I suppose or really 4-6 years from now when this MMO, that it seems like they literally just broke ground on, is ready for launch.
Guess then we’ll see how well Riot can end a story. Especially ones that seem built for these characters and not, you know, the nameless, faceless PCs.
I disagree. I’ll not touch this because I don’t like the game - same reason that I’d not, say, wear a Star Trek hat (as someone who is indifferently towards Star Trek). Don’t want to give the wrong impression.
I got into the game because a character (Vi) had a skin referencing One Piece. Vi became my favorite character and the sole reason i kept playing way after i stopped enjoying the game.
If the game lets me make a crazy martial artist with or without steampunk gauntlets, I’m in.
