Yeah I will keep saying we need some primalist style ascension ala kurog grimtotem, Like depending on the ascension element you get glowy bits and elemental power on certain parts of your body

Shaman will a form update after Druid gets 4 new forms and a bunch more work. They have to pander to “base”.
yet if you break it down by spec Elemental is number 9, Restoration is 16, and Enhancement is a dismal 26. While Shaman in general may rank 5th in the world as the most played class when you break things down it does not look as great. Also if you also look at the Horde vs Alliance faction stats Horde beats Alliance hands down.

Depends on how you break them down, statistics are messy that way.
If you go by Ilvl, I’m not certain on the criteria of highest average so I’m ignoring that, then you get this…

But, did you see these expansion healing logs? Shaman healing is a joke right now.
Haven’t seen the logs.
I’m not an endgamer or pvper so I generally ignore that content. It sucks though that my fellow shaman mains don’t feel like they are doing well. No body wants to feel like they are a burden.
I don’t think we are asking for much, really.

I dont think its asking for too much when most of this is in the game already they obviously would just have to rig some more animations for certain animal choices and make them look ghastly

Our elementals are old as well. There’s dozens of elemental models out there. Druids and warlocks get everything.

The model they use for Ascendance is embarrassingly old.
Straight out of 2010 lol.
It’d be neat if that received any bit of customizability as well (maybe the ability to change your Ascendance to use new elemental models or something? idk)
There’s also the new ‘primalist’ eye options they added into the game, maybe allowing shamans to have access to those through a questline or something would be neat.

You would think in an expansion thats starts out all about fighting a group of people who focus on the elements and shaman even gets their armor as the first tier set. That shaman would get updated all around the board but somehow that was completely overlooked

The fact that Orcs, the signature race for shaman, haven’t had a model update to their totems since Cata shows the last time Blizz has ever cared about Shaman lol.
Still holding out hope for TWW since it seems to have a lot of elemental themeing to it also… but the fact that we got nothing from this expac, my expectations are extremely low.

Dwarves haven’t had a totem update either since we first got totems in Cata. I like the model overall, I think Dark Iron, Kul Tiran and Draenei totems are too big, but it would be nice to get a higher res/polygon model.
But… before that please update the silly looking Ascendance model that has also been untouched since Cata and by update I mean a completely new and different model.

I have legitimately no idea why they only updated Draenei totems in BfA and just ignored every other race.
Ironically enough, I hate the new Draenei totems because they’re way too massive and glossy looking, but still.
Like, it’s so random lol.
But you’re also right about ascendance, that model looks like absolute trash and needs some kind of update.
