Geya’rah was a bad pick

I thought the consensus on Geya’rah was that she was more like the sister Thrall never had rather than a straight up female Thrall?

Also, no matter how many people explain it to me, I will never understand how her name is suppose to be pronounced.

The people calling her “Female Thrall” do so because they don’t really like her and well just see her as Thrall with boobs.

Ignoring the fact that the two are hilariously different. Not sure how the two feel about each other actually the only time I’ve seem them interact was when Geya’rah passes Thrall while on patrol and they just refer just matter of factly state the others name.

No, he should have met his end at OUR hands DURING WoD, instead of surprise Archimonde.

Y’all leave Grom alone. He didn’t know he was in a temporary offshoot time bubble that was altered by the son he never had in his own timeline. I’m sure he would have actually been an alright guy if they hadn’t truncated the expansion he appeared in and thus jettisoned the story where he might have become an alright guy.

“Does anyone know where I parked my Drainer?” -Girl Thrall.

I needed that laugh today. Thank you.

I mean, Geya’rah is both the child of Frostwolves and not of the Iron Horde generation. She in no way shares the sins of the AU Iron Horde. Yes, what she said the moment she and her few surviving people escaped was horrific, and she is a bit aggro, but we’re talking about a young woman who just watched her world and people stolen from her. In what very much was (if the Sermon of the High Exarch was to be believed), a deliberate, systematic multicultural genocide against the indigenous cultures of Draenor.

And despite her very limited characterization so far, she’s been shown she can learn and grow from her mistakes (and the actions of others). And that her people are THE primary priority for her. Combine that with her people’s horrific and hyper dependent position to the Horde … she’s as you said. “Fine”. Does she need work? Very much yes. Do the AU Mag’har need more characters? Very much yes. But, Rah is “fine” for now.

Some real talk. The real leaders of the Mag’har should have been all of the AU warlords. Geya’rah is just female Thrall minus the shaman powers. She can not hold her waters against the legends of the Alliance. Replace her and the race can get some real growth to be actually cool.

They’re dead Erevien. At most I do agree that getting AU Grom back chould be a priority, as “a fade to black” likely means he’s being Bound and Light tortured by his once victims. It also helps that I did read Hellscream, so I got that there was some nuance to his characterization not present in WoD. But he is the only Warlord that can be salvaged, and “saving her mentor” should really be part of Geya’rah’s character arc/development.

EDIT: It also might be a good idea (to help develop and acclimatize her to Azeroth) to link her up the new influx of female leadership. I figure, based off her characterization so far, Rah is probably younger than Thrall. She’s more likely to be primed as an impulsive younger sister type, rather than just a AU female twin. So trio her up with Mayla and Talanji. Get them all some characterization that they do need as a bundle package.

EDIT 2: Voss is also in that same age range. As she was 16 when she died and was ressurected. So you could even throw her into that girl-squad of Newbie Racial leads we ended up with.

When Sylvanas succeeds at breaking the system of death we might get them all back. Nothing is impossible and I am keeping my fingers crossed for the best possible outcome.

With the whole ‘rope’ metaphor for what happens to souls from different timelines merging in Shadowlands, we will never be getting the WoD version of the Warlord’s back.

At best you might be able to raise the MU versions as Undead. But I doubt the Horde council would approve and even if they did, vice versa, I doubt the warlords would approve of the Horde council.

Why not the original MU warlords instead of WoD?

Is there really a difference between them? AU looks cooler on the outside cause of the short movies they got.

I’ve never been fond of bringing back the dead, but there is a point here. The VALUE of the AU Mag’har being an AR (provided some things happen later) is that they do bring in with them that very distinctive AU Iron Horde style tech culture. It differentiates them from their MU counterparts. But, the AU Mag’har (who could truly benefit from being able to rescue AU Grom & more of their own people from the Lightbound), aren’t the only Orcs that need character help. Roll up some “new” old blood for the MU too.

Jorin Deadeye and Nazgrel are criminally abandoned Orcish characters. Thura Saurfang could bring in a bit of “new” Blackrock Blood (especially since she apparently still wields Brox’s Axe of Cenarius). Lets get Rexxar some love, and get the Mok’nathal into the MU roster. And Eitrigg is the last man standing in terms of MU Vets. SHOWER these MU buggers with TLC. You could really have a strong MU Orc cast if you did. Then (as an AR) have Geya’rah, AU Grom, and AU Lantressor built into the big names for the AU.

There is literally, an entire planet of mag’har orcs just sitting there in Outland.

Get some of them. They need it, faaaaaar more than the AU Warlords.

Not an entire planet. Just Nagrand. Most Orcs turned into Fel Orcs thanks to Illidan.

The warlords were destroyed in WoD.
With the exception of Durotan and Blackhand, which were well placed.
I want to see the original warlords in the Shadowlands!

It was for Erevien.
Because he wanted the warlords who were dead. Then I would have preferred the originals.

Man, y’all really actually talking to Erevien huh

I’m eating a Starbucks bacon & gouda sandwich and drinking a nice honey citrus mint hot tea. I’m obsessed with their honey citrus mint tea, it’s SO good. Same with the sandwich, I don’t know how starbucks gets their eggs so fluffy and delicate but it gets me every time.

I’ve only eaten the egg bite thingies after a sandwich gave me food poisoning, so now I’m scared of starbucks sandwiches :frowning:

My breakfast this morning is coffee, pomegranate juice, chocolate almond milk, scrambled eggs with spinach, onion, cayenne, and basil, and toast with peanut butter and blackberry jam
