The people dealing with terrorism attacks have more means at their disposal than the name someone puts on their facebook account.

I am going to go and make a new one today and I bet I can with a fake name.

Yup, it let me. I tried Elae Forum first and it rejected it but then I tried Elae with a real last name and it was fine.

The forum software isnā€™t something Blizzard developed. Itā€™s hosted by Discourse, a 3rd party developer.

But yes, time gates are frustrating. Good thing you donā€™t actually need trust 3 to post in the forums.

If you edit right away it will lose the edit symbol, or in the case of that post when I went and made the facebook within 5 minutes or so.

in my case, i had to not switch forum characters as much,

as of right now i only have two characters with TL2

My question is, how did you do it. How did you meet these requirements?

But read time isnā€™t one of the requirements? Itā€™s having visited at leasy half of the last hundred days. This is logged in hours. I doubt that litterally means they want me to visit for a total of 1200 hours.

How many people care enough about the sticks and carrots Blizzard is using to encourage ā€œhours usedā€ stats for their precious forums to actually put themselves out to do this?

None of their rewards matter.

Theyā€™re definitely nifty. I use the forums for guild stuff, and for debating worgen lore topics. Itā€™d be beneficial for me to be able to post images and links directly, both for advertising my content, and for showing sources directly during debates.

But at what cost?

Trying to get enough likes feels like trying to get popular in grade school. Rigging my keyboard to scroll down megathreads while I sleep feels like farming bitcoin for Blizzard. And the idea of remembering to log in every day to keep my attendance up feels like keeping your Webkinz online pet fed. And all without a progress bar or anything to tell me what else I need.

Iā€™ve no idea how itā€™ll be, trying to keep lvl3 once I get it. But I might as well try for it and see.

I have no idea when or how I got trust level 3 but I learned just today that I do have it. So, umā€¦I have no idea? Sorry, I wish I could help!
