Completely agreeing with everyone that this removal is ridiculous and inconsistent
Yeah, nah. I’ve been unguilded since Vanilla with the exception of a brief stint in MoP, only to have that guild collapse come WoD.
Hot take: Bringing life back to raiding would only happen by making raiding more rewarding and worth your time, not in taking out things that people who aren’t going to raid play instead. Bringing back tier sets, having drops in raids be a consistent thing rather than RNG hell, and making doing the raids a better source of gear than “Oops to get BIS I have to farm a mythic dungeon until it titanforges as that is better than anything I can get from a dungeon/this lower ilvl trinket does more for my DPS than a higher ilvl one”
Its saying self-absorbed things like that are real comedy. I have several raid and dungeon achievements from Wrath when they were current…
Blizzard, remember that I applied when that “NEW MVP” thing was happening…
But seriously, do we know yet that they are NOT only saying this because it will be removed for a new AH mount from Shadowlands (which is hopefully not as huge/clumbersome) ?
Raiding was not mandatory in vanilla, bc, or wrath? Where did you go in blue/ green dungeon gear? You know they are playing classic right now right? There is a reason raid or die was a catch phrase. They had to scramble to add a quest chain to upgrade the dungeon gear to give people that didn’t raid something to do at max level. Even then it wasn’t better than gear from MC.
Drops in raid have never been consistent. I can tell you didn’t do much raiding. Loot pool of 15 items for a boss that drops 2 to 3 with 40 people rolling is consistent?
Lower item level? Now I know you don’t play this game. Briarwood reed? HoJ? Low level dungeon trinkets that are better than raid items?
Yes to all of it. Thank you Byucknah!
I don’t think they will. I think they’ll do what all corporations do, make it as cheaply as possible and sell it for same/more, luring new people in.
If you’ve played this game for any length of time then I’m afraid you’re no longer the target audience.
The Brutosaur i don’t see the big deal. If you have the money for it you probably already have, if you don’t you have another year to get it.
The Bee mount is their way of saying “sorry it’s been another expansion of NOTHING AT ALL for you Alliance, here have a bee mount”. They will recycle the model in a year or so with a slightly different color for everyone.
Honestly i am not really sure what you are expecting to have happen with this thread. I hope you got out of your system whatever you needed too though.
I agree with most of this. However not the parts about the alabaster mounts or the 6month sub mounts. I think it’s good that those be made available in multiple ways. Especially the sub ones. You weren’t paying $60 for a mount, you were paying for game time and go a free mount as a extra reward. Things (especially mounts imo) should be more accessible not less.
This is exactly why I’m so very against the Brutosuar removal. We should have far fewer exclusive items in game. Excluding people from getting stuff like this is bad for the game overall IMO. This should be left in the game. An achieve or title for buying it during bfa would be one thing but the mount should stay. I’ve had the mount for almost the entire xpac and I really don’t want it to be something exclusive. I want everyone to have a chance to go back and earn it.
You ran heroics to get more points to buy better armor and eventually work your way towards being able to try a PUG of a raid. I lived it.
We’re talking about this expansion and its RNG. Not just the drops, the fact that Titanforging, stuff getting sockets out of nowhere, all that slams on another layer of RNG on top of the RNG of what you want to drop. In Wrath, you got the item you needed and that was that. This expansion you gotta keep grinding to get the best version of it
You don’t play Outlaw, do you?
To provide feedback and distaste in Blizzard’s decision on this change, to provide my opinion and discuss this choice on the public forums in hopes that Blizzard re-considers based on player feedback.
When someone says nothing then nothing changes. I am putting my opinion out, on the forums, in the hopes that it makes a difference. The community has a voice, its obvious otherwise we wouldn’t be seeing changes to WF/TF systems and Classic WoW.
Everyone has a right to voice their opinions and feedback on these forums as long as its within the CoC and Forum Guidelines, that is what I am doing and its in hopes of change.
Ok, sounds good. I hope you get the feedback you want and perhaps a blue in here to maybe say something.
I personally don’t agree with all of it, but i can see where you are coming from and can understand the frustration. I wonder what the minimum price for the mount on the BMAH would be? Hopefully they don’t cheapen it as it is really expensive and time consuming to get as is now.
So, you did some entry level content for below average gear in-order to raid because it was the only way to progress your character to a competitive level. Got it. Like I said, raid or die in dungeon blues.
Why are you focused on the wf/tf/ socket on mythic gear. It gives you a reason to come back. If you get it first clear its a nice bonus. At best it goes from 445 to 455, either way the content is doable in heroic gear. You want to go back to Wrath? When we sat in dal afk until the next raid lockout?
Correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t the three raid trinkets the best outlaw options? Now, you also have the option to do some pvp and keys for equivalent items incase you are like many who have killed Ashvane many times and still have no trinket. Can’t complain about that either, I still am waiting on ToEP, 14 years later.
Your post makes me really happy and I have so much respect for you to be able to disagree without resorting to petty name calling. You have all of my respect man and thank you for your friendly words
You -did- just request for all solo content to be removed from the game. So uh, right back at you?
No, solo content has its place. There is a reason it exists. I responded to a player who believes that the removal of 10 mans is what lowered raid participation.
When in reality it was the creation of more stuff to do outside of raiding that still provided relevant rewards. Before, like I’ve mentioned to you, once you hit max level and did a couple dungeons there was no long term content to do besides raid or pvp. So yes, raid participation was artificially high.
Sets were another artificial raid participation boost. You either had 4 piece and your class was viable or didn’t have 4 piece and your class was trash.
So is this how they sell the new AH mount in Shadowlands? What’s that one going to cost 8-10 million gold?
They will probably sell it as a flying mount that won’t fly for 13 months if their current trend continues.
It really hurts because I can’t even fathom how I would ever make that much gold, and I would really like to.
it becomes clear more and more blizzard doesn’t see us as people, but as ATM’s with pudding for brains -_-
But does it REMOVE the mount or just not allow you to buy it anymore?
